Seems this Mississippi State education I have is hampering my comprehension and application of the hard work being done. Here are some examples:
1. I don't really understand the relationships between the PDWS, the MLB Master, and the summaries.
2. All I know about the pivot tables is that they allow you to ask an infinite number of "what if's." Don't understand the mechanics.
3. I notice the temp and humidity columns are blank. Are we supposed to locate this data and input it, or is that input for us closer to game time?
Also, are you automatically playing the under on outdoor games where the humidity is between 50-65?
I fully expect to get a tirade of "WTF's?", but you asked for questions and I'll be the dummy who asks out loud what half of us are wondering. Thanks for all you do.
P.S. Did you ever get a chance to see if any natives around there remember Sammy Tannenbaum, aka "Philadelphia Sammy?" I'm curious to know what they think of his handicapping methods.
easy one's first, not in any specific order
1. forgot all about sammy
2. not automatically right now, 1st year collecting the data, but it sure does look promissing
3. pivot tables are nothing more than a quick sort on a large data base vs finding the info manually. i dont understand how a plane fly's either but it does.
4. humdity is left blank on the pdws, what good is the humidity taken at night 18 hours b4 the game. yes if the info continues to be as good as it is, it would be a good idea to get it, i always do about 15 min b4 the game is scheduled to be played
5. the pdws is the main document for collecting almost all of the basic info that i put into the master spreadsheet. just makes it easy to copy and paste from 1 source, so only takes me a few min to do my updates, as i collect all the data on the pdws and than copy paste to the master. no relation at all of the pdws to the popsummary and wa nps, other than it's a quick way to update those summaries vs using the drop down arrows
i believe that's all of them
