Pops,
question for you or anybody else that can answer.

am looking at line move tab on todays sheet and dont understand how the numbers are calculated.

example of what i mean.

am looking at the 8 total column and it shows the record of 10 overs 9 unders
then in the boxes below there is a -1.5 box which shows 1 over and o unders
below that there is a box -0.5 which shows 3 overs and 4 unders
below that there is a box 0 which shows 8 overs and 9 unders
below that there is a box 0.5 which shows 1 over and 5 unders

so the way am reading this is if the total is 8 and moves -1.5 then the record for that is 1 over and 0 unders.

what i cant figure out is how the total column of 10 overs and 9 unders is calculated considering the box that shows 0 has a record of 8 o and 9 u
so wouldnt the total column for 8 be 8 and 9 and not 10 and 9?

I hope you can understand what am trying to ask, this really is why its hard to try and ask questions about the sheet because its really hard to phrase the questions. If we were in the same room, you could probably answer it in a split second.
thanks
cd

I think you're looking at the wrong grouping.

The 8 only has -0.5, 0 and +0.5 and those went 10-9 (4-4, 5-5, 1-0 respectively).

The 8.5 is the one with -1.5, -0.5, 0, +0.5 and those went 13-18 (1-0, 3-4, 8-9, 1-5)

Example: The cut & paste from the SS is below. The group of 8 is highlighted in blue.
Followed by the opening number 8.5 which is a totally different group.

Below, the first number you see is "8", which has a "-" sign on the left of it on the SS.
If you click on that negative sign "-", it would collapse the group 8 and only shows you
the summary line which has the word "Total" in it.

The line that starts with "8 Total" is the summary line for the 8 group.
You can see that the numbers in the 3 columns do add up to the summary line.

Tbone,
Thanks a bunch. I was totally reading the sheet wrong. When i was looking at 8 total, i was thinking that was for everything below it, but in fact i should have been looking upwards for the 8 stuff. I was wondering why there was a 8 total and then right below it a little 8.5
Thanks again

Pops: I know you were looking for a way to factor in the salary data. Well, Jake Westbrook just agreed to a big extension this week. First start since then was tonight. He lasted 1 2/3 against NYY giving up 8 runs and three dingers! I don't think we need the pivot tables for that!

will golden st ever be a 8.5 point favorite over dallas again in our lifetimes, lolllllll. what a over inflated line. I dont care if mark cuban starts for dallas tonight, their bench is still better then golden st's first team.

OT: With the MLB in full swing, we no longer have to sit by the puter watching, and waiting for lines/points like we did during CBB season. Bitching & moaning, and calling out "Chinese Fire Drill" alerts anymore.

Those so call "Chinese Fire Drill" days are gone. So here's the explanation of the term if anyone interested
