Picked the wrong half for the Okie State game. Their comeback cut the losses to 1.5 units. Wish I had grabbed Ky at 2.5. 1/2 points matter. Can't get any feel for Baylor-Ole Miss. The total has climbed to 59. Did hear that maybe Ole Miss has covid issues. But then Baylor doesn't have their pretty good backup QB, and Bohannon recovering from a hamstring injury.

Yes the question is can Bohannan play 4 quarters? Backup who beat OK St is doubtful or out (Shapen)?
Wait till pre game there could be some surprises players “not available”.

3* Kansas State -4(-118) LSU has only 51 scholarship players available...as of now. Seriously wonder if they even play this game if LSU loses some players to covid. They are also down to one scholarship QB, true frosh Garrett Nussmeier. He might not even start. If he doesn't, it'll be walk-ons. If he does play, Nussmeier hasn't impressed. Immobile and as a passer, raw. K State is the perfect example of a team that will rise to the occasion for this "one game season" that is a bowl game. They get Skylar Thompson back at QB- which is a good thing considering his backup Will Howard is built like a LB and throws like a LB. Coach, Chris Klieman, has done a pretty good job when Thompson has been there at QB. A number of upsets vs. higher ranked teams. LSU's practices have to be a little like early August camp. Lots of young players playing for the first time, or extended time. Orgeron and other coaches gone. New QB and some playmakers. I got a feeling LSU's offense will look like s**t. This line goes to 6 or 7 by Tuesday?

Im thinkin it possibly has something to do when Max Johnson transferred LSU applied for a waiver with the NCAA to allow freshman quarterback Garrett Nussmeier to play in the game and keep his redshirt status. If it doesn’t go through the team will have to rely on a walk-on quarterback with either Matt O’Dowd or Savion Faulk.
I took a gamble and went big
Thanks for all your info

LSU down to 39 scholarship players, and Nussmeier is not playing. Not concerned about the walk-ons, but you wonder if LSU will do what South Carolina did, and use a receiver at QB. Heavy on the runs. Hope KS prepared for it. LSU cannot afford any injuries during the game. Still wonder if the game actually gets played.

LSU will start a wide receiver at quarterback….BUT that wide receiver threw for 5,000 yards in high school. I would be careful with that assumption that LSU gets run out.

Situations like this are difficult, yes things look pretty bad for LSU with all that talent out, coaches not coaching, etc. It is difficult for K St also, how do they prepare for LSU? Is LSU going to run everything the same? Different coaches, different QB, have no film on any of this.

What is K St's motivation, are they motivated to play tonight?

Would not be surprised LSU keeps this close, at least for a little while

They are shorthanded all over the place. The WR quarterback became a WR in college for a reason. And in 4 years at LSU, he only had 20 receptions. There's a lot more to this play than just the QB. Still...that's why they call it gambling, you never know.

What I find odd is the game total has not moved.

Have not heard much talk about LSU defense, are they down everyone like the offense?
With who is left can they possibly come up with an effort on defense and slow/stop the K St offense?

There has been 3 situations similar to this. Maybe 4, but offhand I can't think of it. Situations, as in very shorthanded, including coaches. VT got hammered by Maryland. Nevada got beat badly by WMU. On the other hand, South Carolina covered and won vs. UNC. Maybe LSU will pull a SC type upset. I'm on the other side.
