I just noticed an interesting and annoying "oversight" that betcris is making. They only do accounting in whole dollar amounts, and it really screws over small-time bettors. I know a lot of you guys are laying $100-$1000 per game here, but for those of us just trying to roll over a couple hundred it really hurts. Allow me to explain:
Essentially what they do is round up every bet line, and round down every payout to whole dollars. So if you're betting $10 per game instead of $100 per game, you lose the extra.
For example:
If you wager a line at -110, you'll bet $11 to win $10.
If you wager a line at -105, you're SUPPOSED to bet $10.50 to win $10, BUT at BetCRIS you have to put down $11 to win $10. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN -101 and -110, -111 and -120, etc !!!
The same thing happens if you win:
If you wager $10 at +179, you'll be paid $17 INSTAID of $17.90 like every other book. They ALWAYS round down, in their favor.
I called them up, and they said that this is their procedure, they "don't use cents". What the fuck is that? It's absolutely no added difficulty to do your accounting to 2 decimal places instead of 0 decimal places. It is BLATENTLY skimming off the top of every small better. This isn't Bank of America Save the Change, it's gambling, and I call bullshit on it.
Once my rollover is done from the contest I won, I'm going back to Pinny where they treat all betters equally and professionally.
