BetCRIS rounds down the cents in payoffs.

I just noticed an interesting and annoying "oversight" that betcris is making. They only do accounting in whole dollar amounts, and it really screws over small-time bettors. I know a lot of you guys are laying $100-$1000 per game here, but for those of us just trying to roll over a couple hundred it really hurts. Allow me to explain:

Essentially what they do is round up every bet line, and round down every payout to whole dollars. So if you're betting $10 per game instead of $100 per game, you lose the extra.

For example:
If you wager a line at -110, you'll bet $11 to win $10.
If you wager a line at -105, you're SUPPOSED to bet $10.50 to win $10, BUT at BetCRIS you have to put down $11 to win $10. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN -101 and -110, -111 and -120, etc !!!

The same thing happens if you win:
If you wager $10 at +179, you'll be paid $17 INSTAID of $17.90 like every other book. They ALWAYS round down, in their favor.

I called them up, and they said that this is their procedure, they "don't use cents". What the fuck is that? It's absolutely no added difficulty to do your accounting to 2 decimal places instead of 0 decimal places. It is BLATENTLY skimming off the top of every small better. This isn't Bank of America Save the Change, it's gambling, and I call bullshit on it.

Once my rollover is done from the contest I won, I'm going back to Pinny where they treat all betters equally and professionally.

you might as well say "neteller steals from you" because they dont allow the sportsbook to send you an amount with cents for example

given the current situation of the industry, I can reasonably assume they won't pay much attention to this

Neteller does allow cents, I've done it before. There is no reason they shouldn't.

It is the principle of it, and they definitely add up. If you're getting stiffed between 0-9% on every wager you make Win or Lose, it's going to make an impact. This isn't about cents. It's about doing things right.

Betcris has operating costs.

Dealing with $3 bets - well you lose the cents to the operating costs.

I am sure Betcris is concerned about this. Maybe the $5 bettor will go elsewhere.

I mean come on - they have to answer the phone, keep a website up, send and receive deposits, etc...

EVEN THE IRS LETS YOU ROUND.

You sound like one of my ex girlfriends. I sent her a text message wishing her a happy birthday.

She replied via email that she does not have a text package and my message costed her .10 cents.

I sent her $10 and never heard from her again.

It works both way but I guess you would have to win a bet to notice that.

Neteller DOES NOT as far as the last time I checked (which admitedly was a while ago) to SEND from the merchant to the customer amounts with cents

I am not talking about the customer sending the merchant, I am refering to the other way around

This is the most rediculous justification you could have. There is absolutely no additional cost for a book when dealing with a $10 bet versus a $10,000 bet. And I would strongly argue that there is a VERY low marginal cost for each additional bet placed no matter the size.

The juice is what pays for the operating costs, and what makes books millions of dollars. There's no reason to scam pennies away, and it's a bad business practice.

Sounds like that could have been one of the best $10 you ever spent. What a bargain!

Always been that way with CRIS. Just drop or lower your bet a little for round numbers. Great book. This is what you have to complain about?
Go to Bodog or some place and they will deal you dual lines that they put up on thursday but they won't cheat you on cents(just dollars). Cris opens up first for football and actually takes a chance a long with bettors and doesn't just parasite along with cloned stale lines like 4/5 ths of the books out there.

It is annoying, sometimes you can't avoid them keeping the change, like in a parlay.

Then their screwed up software, which is a worse problem.

Very over-rated book, that few should use, unless you bet openers the second they come out, or something only CRIS offers. With any standard bet, CRIS NEVER has the best line.

I wouldn't care if they closed today ( and paid everybody).

I'd rate them no higher than B-.

Wolfie, just fyi, I got a payout from BetJamacia with 75 cents attached, it showed up in my neteller and got payed out to my checking account as such.

Betcris is the only company I've ever encountered that just swipes cents.

I stand corrected then, a year or so ago when I handled the payouts the neteller interface didnt allow us to enter cents, I remember clearly because everyone that had a payout like x.20 bitched about the 20 cents so we had to add the rest

I bet that betonsports also made their withdrawals correctly, with cents.......until..........

Several others do, some even round UP.
