The sad fact is that what happened to pts appears to have happend to panam. You have a couple of guys that have a lot of experience and decide to start their own book. They get some investors and convince them that they will see great returns. But unfortunately, instead of making money, they lose money. Investors get tired of taking a loss, and take back thier funding, leaving the operators scrambling for new investors. But now that football is over, the only someone has of maing money running a sportsbook is if march madness is really good. It will defintiely be a tough sale. But Scotty's been around for a while. Hopefully he has enough friends that someone will give him an infusion of cash to keep the operation going alittle longer.

Just wondering, are you owed any money by BetPanam? This whole situation seems so terribly bizare given the positive words from you and others not so long ago.

This is just not good. How can one be certain that any offshore book won't just arbitrarily just take the decision to stop paying winners?
There appears to be no repercussion for these inscrutable operators.

are you telling me with all the endorsement of PanAm, the seemingly "tight" connection between PanAm and RX, that NO ONE saw this coming? What happened to all the "offshore insiders".

What does this say about the RX's ability to "recommend" books? (I thought we had just went through this a couple of months ago with others books?)

Of all the book problems this year, this one definitely has the largest impact on the RX's reputation and credibility...

This is not just a blemish on the offshore industry, it is a blemish on the forums...

We have learned that anyone can go under and to keep very low and reasonable balances with any book you do business with. what else is there? I lost my ass with Aces Gold, and sure this one will hurt people, but Billdozer, business go under all over the world every single day. Bottom line, keep your balances to a serious minimum, and your wins will eclipse a small bump. I will guarantee you that all people who got seriously burned by aces gold and learned their lessons to keep small balances are laughing tonight in comparison.

Meyer,

How about not sending people to a book that hasn't made it through a football season?

That was the answer we were looking for. But we will send you off with this brand new George Foreman Grill!! Thanks for playing!

Shrink was talking it up about WAGERS PARADISE the day they started to advertise on this site as well!!!

It seems as though, if Shrink comes in saying how much he loves a book, then that book somehow seems to fail.

I didn't really consider the fact that they were a new book. I tend to agree with you that maybe these sites should only back books that have a long standing track record. I think you make a very very valid point there. The Shrink, it appears got taken in by all of the Hype and the fact that this was supposedly "bonded by Panama". That is what sucked me in, i have to admit it. I basically assumed that nothing was stronger than having a book backed by the government. I should have listened to a friend of mine who told me that Panama, and anything associated with it is never to be trusted. I guess we all fuked up again.

Also, i want to take back the laughing comment by saying that if you knew how bad I took it in the shorts with the Aces Gold nightmare, that to me, this is laughable by comparison. the aces gold nightmare reminded me of the scene in Pulp fiction, where i was the star getting banged by Jed. This wasn't as bad.
