One thing I find ironic about Bonds is his dislike for the media. Now he tells the media he has a bunch of bone chips. Why would he tell them, except to take some heat off him.

FWIW about Mays - He hit 187 HR's as a member of the New York Giants, who played at the Polo Grounds. Don't know about if it was a hitters park down the lines or not?

The Polo Grounds had ridiculous dimensions all around ,down the lines it was very very short, but centerfield was a joke.

Bonds will break down with injury before he gets around to breaking Aaron's record. We KNOW he used steroids in the past, and these things catch up to people because they tend to break down VERY easily. Bonds could tear an Achilles during the off-season just running in the yard with his kid.

I do remember the thread...I wouldn't have remembered Cincy's remark however....I remember posting about this even as far back as late 2002, and I remember also saying Palmeiro had a realistic shot at 600 homers as well and poster 'RPM' laughing at me.

This was fun to look back at. :banger: I love those old photos on this page too.

Well Said. Also Bonds has had years and years of cheating and his body is now much bigger even if he stopped using Steroids. I am not an expert on steroids nor do I know how long him and the rest did them...BUT I am quite sure that Bonds cheated for a long time and man is he bigger.
