At what age are you not young anymore?

you're old once you go over 20.

1) no longer a teen - IMO, carefree teenage years are the definition of youth.
2) you have more responsibilities (graduating from college, drinking) than ever before.
3) most people, if they ever do, start putting on weight at this age and the metabolism slows down.
4) people over 20 don't get better looking. it's all downhill from then on! i once heard that your ears and your nose are the only body parts that continue growing throughout your life.

anybody you tells you otherwise is just really old and in denial.

(btw, I'm 26, fat and balding, and ok with it.)

that has two sides you know

you can say "damn I am old.........now I am a FATHER" or you can say "damn, thats freaking fun.........I can ride on a bike.play video games and be silly all over again"

its all on how you see it.........I am not a father............but I don't see how being a father would make me old

Regardless the clock is always ticking......you can either survive through your son ..............or not.

I for one always think about the country song that says "I see my father in me" or the one from Mike and the Mechanics (showing my age here) that says "I think I saw his spirit later that same here, I am sure I heard his echo in my babys new born tears"

in my case I felt old when I realized I couldn't just get on a plane and go to Australia or something.............BEFORE I could actually take care of some things before........................and then again not for more than 2 weeks

Such a subject brings to mind the fact that we are all very mortal and anything can happen to make you suddenly realise just how fragile life can be. I don't have the heart to read the thread from BAS, only skimmed the earliest pages of it, knew the problem would eventually be disclosed. Heart attack eventually came out, I stopped reading at that point
If memory serves me right , I sold him some airline vouchers I received for getting bumped from a flight, like 5+ years ago,95 percent sure it was him, if not another RX'er.

I don't recall ever having any dispute with Mike . I envision him being close in age to me (55).

Another guy around that age that is ailing badly is Winkyduck, now mainly am EOG guy, but formerly a very active poster here and a good guy about my age

I knew the hotel well after living in LV from like 89-96.

It pains me to even read about guys like this having such severe life threatening issues, could so easily be me in such a spot, as I am far from being healthy in diet, exercise, weight, BMI, or most any other measure.

I'm like Keith Richards, should have been dead 20 years ago !

Or the skinny broad that can eat whatever the hell she wants, never exercises and just maintains a weight of 1115 or whatever, while most women kill themselves trying to be thin

I'm 33 and considered young by all of my colleagues because they are all older than me.


Then again it's all relative. If you are 33 and work at a fast food joint with a bunch of teenagers, you're considered old

I’m 34 , I almost died from heart failure last year. I had a compound fracture in my left ankle 3 years ago, I’ve lost feeling in my foot since than. I turned 30 and hit a fuckin wall

Sure it relative, but I think you can it simple enough by dividing your realistic expected lifespan onto 3 trimesters , like an. MD evauting a pregnant woman
In my case, I'm 55 now and have issues and my heritatity doesn't back up living to extreme ages
Call it 75 being both realistic and slightly optomistic, I'm cool with that number

0-25 is first trimester
Okay so your infancy thru H.S,maybe even college has beyond your comtol

Now 25-50 is your real prime and beyond 50, you be getting old

Age 90 might sound better.
O-30 is good overall
30-60 middle age

Then old beyond 60.

Great except that few men make it 90, much better chance for the widow to get there

I'm young and I think that I will be able to do the same things I am doing now when I am in my 40's and maybe longer. I plan on staying in shape. Tom Brady can do it, so I think that I will be able to play sports when I get to be old.

a compound fracture could happen to anyone anytime , i got a metal plate in my foot thats why i can't feel it . My kid cought that koksaki virus goin around her school last year, i got it and it went to my heart and caused viral heart failure. its some crazy shit

I've always told younger guys the day you know you're in trouble is when you meet a hot looking 22 year old on the sidewalk and you don't even look at her because you're checking out her 43 year old Mom instead. The 22 year old is unattainable but you still have a shot at the Mom.
