Not having any kids has kept my mind set a little younger than a lot of people my age. I work out daily and try to eat right. I'm stronger now than I was 20 years ago. But bottom line is not letting yourself age mentally. Thinking young will help keep you young. I don't feel any different than I did 20 years ago. Do I look older? Yes. Do I feel older? No. Do I think differently? Yes... I don't do the bar scene like I did years ago but that's merely trying to save brain cells. If a person thinks they're old then they're going to start to slow down and once you slow down it's hard to get started again.....

to answer the question that started the thread, to me 75 is when you are not young anymore. By 75, even if you are in excellent shape, eat right, drink in moderation, etc, etc-- your body just slows down regardless of what you try and tell it to do.
I'm 41 and in the best shape of my life. Haven't done drugs in over 15 years, drink moderately, and work out 3-4 times a week. I ran a half-marathon in 2003 and am planning on running the Q.C. marathon here in town in Sept of 2006--and finishing in under 4.5 hours....:toast:

That happened to me was I was about 31. Some teenagers were playing at a park and sid, "Sir, could you tell us what time it is". Yikes.
Up unitl 33 I still say a 24 year old in the mirror, at the point my body started to give way and by 35 it was over (Arthitis in my shoulder, knees hurting).
Sad to say, I'm old now at 41.
