Marco.....youre in the wrong country...maybe France is where you meant to get off.Your hatred of Bush for defeating your partys representative (twice) is blinding you.If John Kerry was elected (thank God (or Allah in your case Marco) for that not happening) and he decided to press on with the troops in Iraq everything I suspect would be alright with you BUT its the Devil incarnate, Bush pulling the strings so its just downright evil,no?

You neo-soc liberals really have got some issues.Maybe someday another Democrat will regain the top office and you can relent with your seemingly neverending pessimism...but I doubt thats happening anytime soon (judging from the crop of hopefuls Ive heard about) so better get you crybaby-ass disposition ready b/c your going to need it for awhile.

Maybe we should let the UN take sole responsiblilty for the nuke threats in Iran? They did such a superb job in Iraq. They can impose some sanctions in Iran then set up ,oh I dont know, a food for sheepskin program.I mean that worked out great when they made those deals with Saddam.

Its not about the war for you people....not about the soldiers dying....the money being spent or the poor Iraqi civilians.....its all about the hate you have for YOUR elected President. Its a friggin shame......Id wager to say the majority of the forces fighting feel they are fighting for a cause and making a difference.....too bad you couldnt see it that way....but as Ive stated youre blinded by your own hate.AND IT IS HATE...it comes out in every phrase you type.

In retrospect, it appears as though the UN was right about Iraq and nukes.

Iraq and nukes????? IRAN and nukes is the subject here. The Iranians are already beginning to make the UN a mockery once again. Why do you think the US made the statements theyve made regarding the subject.Because in the grand scheme of things the US has more influence than the passive UN.

Iraq and WMD....the UN did a horrible job.

IMO the UN should be moved clear out of the USA.Their clear conflict of interest in Iraq is an abhorration...a slap in the face to the US.Please save the cut and paste propaganda regarding the Bushes "questionable" conflicts....weve all heard it.Michael Moore (on) made sure of that,right...and everything he says is solid info.

The UN hasnt "been right" in quite awhile Im afraid...from the civil wars in Africa to syphoning money from food for oil....it hasnt been a good time at the UN lately. What do they do anyway?Make sure the USA stays in line, with condemnations and useless remarks?

BASEHEAD.....If you have been following my posts paying any attention at all you would know that I'd be against the war in Iraq regardless if a Repub was in office or a Democrat.....

For me it's not WHO is in charge, it's the decisions they are making.

It's not about party lines for me. I could care less who is in office because I view the whole system as more or less corrupt, when these guys can guarantee themselves a 100% retirement pay courtesy of the general fund while social security is on the rocks, I don't give a damn if it's going to Republicans or Democrats, it's just plain wrong.

Regardless who wins the next election, if we are still blowing billions of dollars in Iraq I will still come out against whoever is leaving us in that shithole, regardless whether that president is Rep or Dem. We're not going to make a difference in Iraq, democracy is not going to blossom there, regardless how much money anyone wants to spend there the outcome is going to be the same. They will fight each other and bomb each other for decades to come.

It has NEVER been about party lines for me. I am a practical person who believes in taking care of America's problems before building schools in Iraq or some other armpit of the planet while our infrastructure's needs are not being met, but somehow there's billions of aid for Israel while local state governments haggle over how to raise a few thousand or million for causes here.

For me it's about responsibility. If some father out there was spending hundreds on his new girlfriend while his kids were shoeless you'd be talking about what a deadbeat he was.

Somehow we can spend all kinds of money abroad while our own country rots and nobody else equates our government with being a deadbeat.

Frankly I could care less who wins the next election because the issues that need to be addressed will just get put off for the next electee after that.

As far as Iran and a ground invasion, all that will do is turn out just like the misadventure in Iraq......If you want to end thier nuke ambitions then carpet bomb that installation with all the bunker busters you want, and then let the hillbillies there fight each other.

For me....YES it's about the money, YES, it's about the soldiers we lost over there....If Bush would have kept us out of Iraq I would have just been b1tching about the usual bs that they don't attend to.....

Had this forum been around during the Vietnam War I would have b1tched about it from 65 when we went there until 75 when we left, regardless of the party the president was from at the time.

I don't blindly follow party lines. For some of you guys it's like cheering for a football team.......I'm practical about it and don't give a fuck about party lines.

It's the IAEA.

The guy that runs it actually knows his job (unlike some...)
Bush wants rid of him because 2 highly technical reasons

1. He's not a GOP yes-man.
2. He's got a funny name.

Director-general: Mohamed ElBaradei

"Marco.....So you thinks its a good thing for this world to let Iran have Nukes?"

Nuclear power maybe.....I don't really trust any country on the planet with the weapons variety and then there's the aspect of responsibility......look at the way the Russians managed thier supplies, and all the stuff just laying around the USSR waiting for a suitcase.....

I'm just saying if we choose to take the installation out, do it with our planes or missiles and keep the American casualties to a minimum, I don't want to see another wasted wad like the effort in Iraq go into Iran via a ground assault and all the head in the clouds thinking about regime change and another place on the planet where democracy flows and holding hands and group hugs are the norm.

It isn't going to happen with all the religious sects and fanatics running around the middle east, so spend all them hundreds of billions fixing our problems inside the USA, time for our government to be financially responsible for once.

We can reach these places with any bomb/missle execpt a Nuke. That is the only way to destroy the facility.

LOL you are living a pipe dream. If we do not spend it on something constructive (Do you like the choice of word...:103631605 ) then you liberals will boost the Welfare system and piss it away on pork barrel spending.

But anyway, carry on dudes, It's only $177 million a day and about 1800 servicemen down the drain, glad you're really making a difference, and I'm sure the people of London thank you too. Party on!

Worth every pennie. To know we have Iran covered on 2 sides if worth it. It's only less then a year till we move the troops from Afganistan and Iraq intpo Iran. Then use the draft to staff Iraq and finish what we started there. Maybe not......Iraq might just have enough troops trained by then to not need a draft. Either way we are going into Iran and some point. You can see the writing on the wall.
