God is not a diplomat. Still one of the best books around, but avoid dealing with Tony himself, if possible.

Frankly, I could care less how much they make.

I bet they care just as much about your titty baby $10 error as you do about their salary.

NES you seem to be about as angry of a person as the customer service people I spoke to today, and you seem to have 1st hand knowledge of the place, so maybe you should go back to work there, you would fit right in, or maybe you left b/c you were TOO angry. I really don't care about how much they make or their overall mindset, I just want to be treated respectfully by a customer service person, as I think most other people would want to.

These places are located in Jamaica, Costa Rica, Aruba, etc.

There are not many other jobs there , this is survival for these people

I travel to these placed to get away from our cold winters. I Know

maybe you should too, get out of your castle .

Well, if this is how they act when performing a job that they need for "survival" they had better get ready to go hungry. Being nice and polite can never be underated.

I know a lot of people over there, and was acutally offered a job but didnt take it. I work in CS and I treat my customers like gold, but if you are calling for a $10 error when the games are getting ready to go off the board Im going to tell them/you the same "call back in twenty and I'll fix you up, thanks" *click*

Tony is basically the Seinfeldian equivelant of the Soup Nazi, but as a bookie.

Brush him the wrong way:

NO SOUP, FOR YOU !

when they answer the phone saying "sports" instead of hello, you know you got the right place...

as long as they dont murder you on the fees to get your own money out, you are in a good place.

Yeah, I agree. Just a terrible, terrible book as far as customer service goes. Would have to be an extremely extraordinary line there for me to even *think* about depositing.

Call your local up at crunch time & tie him up with an investigation into a $10 issue. See how he reacts.

In the end, these folks are underpaid, understaffed, overworked and facing a time deadline(pending kickoffs).

If you've never been under the gun where you were rushed and stressed, I guess you can't relate.

Why not just wait until after kickoffs or send them an email? I've never seen such a tantrum over something so minor.

Seriously Tony is the the soup Nazi after Elaine got his recipes, he moved to CR, became a bookie, and founded 5Dimes. :103631605:drink::missingte:missingte

Why not email them? Especially over a $10 problem on NFL Sunday. Thats what I would have done.

NES you seem to be about as angry of a person as the customer service people I spoke to today,

Never confuse Sensible SmartAss with Angry

Big difference, with the most notable being that the former is a lot more fun to read in a whiny ass thread like this one

Well put my vertically challenged friend.

T realizes that if he adds just a few more lateral inches he will be a literal Square....so go easy until that FatMan's Walking progam starts showing more results

FORTY FIVE MINUTES to grade your $10 wager?

Why I oughta.......

See, you should limit your CS complaints to contacting your rep and asking them to Cancel your incorrectly selected team in a hockey bet.

They're usually okay with that maybe once a week, especially when the team you Cancelled ends up winning later in the day.
