Why should they? You bet on something, it lost end of story.

I don't buy it for one second that you wrote down eveyrone you spoke with but this clerk. Come on that sounds like a pile of shit right there.

You DON'T bet almost a dime on a prop you didn't clearly understand! It isn't even a hard prop to get to begin with.

I could care less what you want to buy. I just came here to state my case. It is not for you to decide.

Do you not know how to read? If I called for an explanation and got it, I will go with that explanation and bet accordingly. Maybe you need to reread the first post. For someone that has almost 10000 posts, I would think that you at least have good reading comprehension skills.

BTW, if I choose to bet a dime on a prop, it is my choice because I can do that. I only came here because I felt cheated. That is all.

5dimes. you are making a BIG mistake

I agree.. will lose more customers on this than just the one... If the guy is dumb enough to bet 800 on a game to win 200 on anything then they just lost a good customer.

If anything, they have gained a "headache" because I will not rest until we reach a compromise.

The odds were not 4 to 1 BTW. And even if they were it would have been my choice.

In Boxing Freak's own words he wagered Delahoya would have more knockdowns and he lost the bet.
Now as to whether he was told differently by someone at 5Dimes, who he talked to, when he talked to them, and what they told him is the ONLY thing that would support his case.
If someone told him the wager he made won if Delahoya got knocked down, then fire that person, and refund his money.
If there is no concrete proof this happened, then sorry you bet on the wrong side, you lost, end of story.

I thought I made myself clear on that in an earlier post on the previous page.

No. 5 Dimes is adamant about their position. No one has emailed me at all.

Some in this forum may think that I did the wrong thing by coming here and heading my post as I did. I only did so after trying to resolve the situation amicably and patiently. I was given the runaround by several clerks before I reached Victor who was cold and heartless with regard to the matter. That is when I decided to come here. Because as far as 5 Dimes was concerned, the matter was closed. What was I do do? Sit around and just wait for someone at 5 Dimes to just give me a call? Nothing of the sort would have ever happened. I could tell where this was heading just by the way my calls were being handled in the aftermath.

You wrote down everyone you spoke with but the person in the wagering department?

How much sense does that really makes? I've done business with 5 Dimes for years & I trust their shop.

You made a wager & lost so live with it. They got better things to do then stiff someone for under a dime.

"Times Hopkins Knocked Down +1/2 @ -240"

That line is common sense, only someone who is clueless or drunk wouldn't understand what that means.

I don't bet boxing much & know what that phrase means.

You lost end of story.

Exactly how it is written!

If there were 2 knockdowns 1 for each guy then Hopkins +.5 would win since it would be tied 1-1 but it was just one knockdown & it was DLH who got knocked down so 1-0 DLH. If you bet on Hopkins you lose!

egd - what do you read that phrase to mean sir?

hope you don't mind me jumping in here, egd...

"times Hopkins Knocked Down + 1/2" means...count the number of times hopkins is knocked down and add 1/2 to that number

compare this to the opposite side of the prop "Times De La Hoya Knocked down"...if you need an explanation on that it means...count the number of times DeLa Hoya is knocked down

still confused?

now compare these 2 numbers to get your answer. As is common practice with props, the HIGHER number wins.

now, if anyone needs an explanation of what "# of times" means, or perhaps a refresher on our numeric system and how one number ranks in relation to another as far as which one is "greater than" let me know. I can also define "greater than" if needed.

For props like this, the number is generally low enough that you can do the counting calculations on your fingers. In extreme cases you may need to pull off you socks to finish the calculation.

This was actually a legitimate thread 100 posts ago when it was focused on whether or not 5 dimes CS rep decieved the player. Unfortunately it turned into a bunch of assclowns arguing the grading of the prop, which should not even be in question for anyone with rudimentary reading comprehension skills.

Id, please tell me what is confusing about the prop. Was my explanation not sufficient for you? I can try to explain it in more simple terms for you.

As far as me being a shill, nothing can be further from the truth. In fact I have not even played with 5 dimes in over a year.

Drunk guy, as is common practice with SPORTS the most desirable outcome for a team wins. If this were GOLF strokes, would 72 or 73 win?

Since FEWER knockdowns is better, lowest number wins in this case.

This is a very confusing prop to me. I am not sure I understand why Oscar would be a big plus here. However, I would not bet a $1 let alone over $900 without fully understanding what the bet is.

I have emailed 5dimes about bets and have always gotten a fair answer from them in a reasonable time.

egd - why are you not accepting that many do not understand this prop? face the facts. people DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!! just because you might does not mean others do. and in fact, it appears like most do not understand what this prop is.
