Yes those people irk me. Its even worse when they're in a group and you have 3 or 4 of them running side by side like they can't run one behind the other?
Sneak up behind them and blow your horn.
They love when you do that. They usually say thank you. It kinda wakes them up.
They are usually the ones complaining that cars aren't "sharing the road." They then proceed to break every traffic law known to man. They do it out here all the time, drives me crazy. I really hate the bikers who ride In the street with no regard to traffic laws and don't even wear a helmet.
I find it more dangerous here in CR with how shitty the sidewalks are. I almost always use the road and always walk/run towards traffic NOT with it.I know it's a situation where the road is easier on the knees but I've seen it get dangerous before. There are bad drivers out there.
right?I knew a guy who was walking down & on the side of a highway years ago late on a Friday night and got killed.
I see people walking & riding bikes with traffic to their backs and i think it's idiotic.
All it takes is a person messing with their phone or something to swirve that slight second and take them out...
During the summer I run outside on the streets. I don't use the sidewalk too often because they are usually in questionable shape, you have to avoid other people and objects, and yes the asphalt is better on my knees. However, I try to run in industrial areas, and off main thoroughfares and ALWAYS run AGAINST traffic so I can see what's coming at me.. And yes, I know accidents happen all the time so I stay alert.. I'll also tell you this- once somebody threw a coke bottle at me while I was running so I turned around and sprinted after the car... Guess what???? They had to stop for a light. Now guess who got a nice sized roadside landscape boulder dropped on their trunk and rear window? So before any of you fat lazy bastards think about messing with joggers, remember 2 things- will I ever see this person again, and make sure it's not meI know it's a situation where the road is easier on the knees but I've seen it get dangerous before.
