You ever see someone running on the road with a sidewalk 5 feet away?

I know it's a situation where the road is easier on the knees but I've seen it get dangerous before. There are bad drivers out there.

Yeah I'll probably catch a manslaughter charge eventually. These people don't even look for cars.

Yes those people irk me. Its even worse when they're in a group and you have 3 or 4 of them running side by side like they can't run one behind the other?

Sneak up behind them and blow your horn.

They love when you do that. They usually say thank you. It kinda wakes them up.

lol , that would be funny. When i was a kid we were always taught to walk against traffic but ive noticed people dont do that anymore , they walk with traffic and dont know or care whats coming up from behind them. ...Hell yeah , blow the horn.

They do it out here all the time, drives me crazy. I really hate the bikers who ride In the street with no regard to traffic laws and don't even wear a helmet.

They are usually the ones complaining that cars aren't "sharing the road." They then proceed to break every traffic law known to man.

Yeah one girl was stupid enough to do it before sunrise with no reflective clothing on so I pulled over and gave her a vest to wear

I find it more dangerous here in CR with how shitty the sidewalks are. I almost always use the road and always walk/run towards traffic NOT with it.

all day long on my street leading up to griffith park....when i complain my wife says sidewalks are all shitty and the curbs are a pain the ass with a stroller

i only go into the street to give the right of way to people walking on sidewalk as many are scared of my dog so I always give them the sidewalk

I knew a guy who was walking down & on the side of a highway years ago late on a Friday night and got killed.

I see people walking & riding bikes with traffic to their backs and i think it's idiotic.

All it takes is a person messing with their phone or something to swirve that slight second and take them out...

right?

I would never ever walk on the side of the road with traffic. Always against it. At least this way you have a chance to get out of the way.

very tragic, sad story

a very good buddy of mine lost his mom on the side of the highway

she was a nurse and was helping injured from an accident

someone swerved to miss the cars slowing down to look at the accident and hit her

she passed helping others but was very tough on my buddy as she was actually on the way to the airport to come visit him and his family when it all happened

no stripes on my shirt but i can make her pu**y wh

During the summer I run outside on the streets. I don't use the sidewalk too often because they are usually in questionable shape, you have to avoid other people and objects, and yes the asphalt is better on my knees. However, I try to run in industrial areas, and off main thoroughfares and ALWAYS run AGAINST traffic so I can see what's coming at me.. And yes, I know accidents happen all the time so I stay alert.. I'll also tell you this- once somebody threw a coke bottle at me while I was running so I turned around and sprinted after the car... Guess what???? They had to stop for a light. Now guess who got a nice sized roadside landscape boulder dropped on their trunk and rear window? So before any of you fat lazy bastards think about messing with joggers, remember 2 things- will I ever see this person again, and make sure it's not me

I saw this just yesterday. I shook my head.

it was 5am and the sun wasn't out yet. and it was two women side by side.....it is dark and they took an unusually large part of the road. Lucky I didn't hit him as I was coming home from an all night poker session

I am staying on the sidewalk. Period. I don't care how bad the sidewalks are. Maybe the streets were safer back in the day. But today we have drivers texting, talking, fiddling with their coffee, read their GPS, reading their emails, etc, etc.

No. I am not going to roll the dice and hope that some distracted driver will see me in time. IMO.
