While I agree with you I would point out that Carr made plenty of money that wasn't in his contract either and as far as job security. Not many schools have better job security than Michigan. They have had what 3 coaches at Michigan in the last 40 years. I don't know of any other school with that much job security.
I will also agree that WV has had a good run lately and has a decent history but Michigan is the winningest program ever, has 11 national titles and has been to 33 straight bowl games, which is a record.

With all that said I don't think Rodriguiz is a good fit at Michigan. Personally I hate the offense he runs and don't want to see it at Michigan. While I think Michigan needs a more aggresive playcaller I don't think running a gimmicky offense is what they need.

Talking about job security, I think Joe Paterno has it........

let me put it to you this way :

their would never be speculation of a current michigan coach leaving to take the west virginia job...

why ? cause it would be a big step down....

as far as michigan losing to app st and wvu losing to pitt .

the wvu loss was the biggest choke job in college football history. home / huge fav with a chance to play for the title. ooops....

Biggest choke in college football history? How old are you, six?? It wasn't even the biggest choke this year, sir. USC had been basically anointed BCS champs when they lost at home to lowly STANFORD.

This Does Not Surprize Me After He Took A Fall And Let Pitt Take Away The Mounties National Title.after What He Instructed His Players To Do In The Pitt Game He Needs To Leave West Virginia.no Loss In My Book.

Theerodfather

Enlighten me....what did he instruct his players to do?

BTW.....looks like he remains the WVU coach.

the timing of it made it the biggest choke in history. a six year old would even know that.

all they had to was win as a 28 point fav at home and they are playing for the title.

usc had several more games to play when they lost.

When Ohio State didn't show up to play in National Championship game last year was that a choke? When VaTech blew an 18 point half point lead in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl game last year was that a choke?

Who gives a flip what the spread was? You'd think people who wager would understand that the spread is not indicative of the strength and weakness of the respective teams, but only what is required to attract relatively equal betting on both sides of a game.

Pitt would have been bowl eligible had they beaten South Florida. Eight of their games were against bowl teams, and they only got trounced twice - by Connecticut and Virginia. They beat Cincinnati, and very nearly beat Michigan State and Rutgers on the road. Only an imbecile (and granted, there are a lot of imbeciles out there) would have thought that West Virginia would have an easy time in this game against their arch rivals.
