would you see a course through if you already know you have an A?

I wouldn't do the two labs ... BUT .. how would you use your free time?

If it's used on other subjects, it's productive. Even if it's used to mow your lawn or doing laundry, it's fine. If it's spent in a bar chasing ass, don't do it.

Why not with the last one? Everything he does is more productive than those 2 labs. Those 2 labs represent 0 gain possibilities. His grade can not improve or get worse, it will be an A no matter what

I think it's become clear that you already had your mind made up before you even started this thread. If you say that the course is an elective and has nothing to do with your major then why even take the class from the beginning. The problem with students these days is they want to put the least amount of work in, and get an A. They don't concentrate on retaining the knowledge offered they're way. I'm not saying that this is the case for you, but once again knowledge is power. Good luck with school and your finals, I still got another 2 weeks before finals start. On a side note, you may have the same teacher again, and they definitely remember they're "better" students.

More than likely.
Course has been payed for, might as well get your moneys worth.
Like JW said, it's all about knowledge, you never know what else you might learn.

Now if it's a course that bores you to tears, and you put in all the work already to ace the course, then I might consider cherry picking a few class cuts, but I'd see it throug.

because you're required to take liberals and electives, at least in most cases.

Unless it's a course on Ass Kissing, it's extremely unlikely that you will gain any practical knowledge to make you some $$$ down the road. Since this one's Astronomy, I'd let it go. Go donate some plasma while you would have been at class, and you'll be in a + expectancy situation.

Yeah Id skip. There are going to be many many things in your life you have to do that you dont want to, this isn't one of them. Enjoy your young innocent years.

Oh no hes skipping 2 labs in astronomy! Take the time to do something productive and youll thank yourself later
