It's grandparents land........but is now mine... lil over 1000 outside of Wilmington

Wouldn't sell it for the tobakky $$, but hold out for residental $$

Don't know how much it's worth.......hasn't been a priority, more or less a rainy day fund if I ever need it

how much allotment does the land have? would it be safe to assume they took part in the federal buyout plan? if not there's your rainy day plan.

What I am wondering more about is say, how much could a typical North Carolina tobacco farmer expect to make per acre of land, or per pound of tobacco sold. I saw somewhere that the numbers where something like $3.50/lb and approx. 1500-2000/lb per sq. acre.

Are those numbers in line with what you get on a regular basis? Seems like a pretty good farming industry that most people and/or farmers no little about.
