He never had the offensive line that Russell, Quinn, Smith, or even Stanton or Kolb had. He was constantly being pressured and almost never had time to throw.
He has NFL size which only 4 or 5 QBs in the draft have.
But the #1 reason why he should do well is this...
He almost never threw INTs. Even though he was constantly rushed and on his back, almost everyone of his throws was either to his WR or out of the reach of the CB.
You have to believe that with a better offensive line and more time to throw, a guy that knows how to stay away from mistakes will be a premium in the NFL.
His stats may not be as impressive because he had no time, but I'll take a guy like that in the 2nd or 3rd round over a higher-priced top 5 pick in a second if I were an NFL GM. He can make the throws and is going to be a major steal is he gets some starts behind a decent O line.
