That's gonna be weird in 15 years when people are calling Goff the GOAT and I'm like "Well, he had the best offensive mind in the game in McVeigh and was always surrounded with elite weapons" then they're like "Well, why don't you hold that against Brady?"

And I just have no response really. I'll probably make something good up between now and then, just haven't thought of it yet.

But people do underrate how good his setup is.

And you're only allowed 8 options, otherwise I throw Trubisky in the mix. He could be a write-in candidate

Trubisky?

The absurd QB going off stat of this week, Trubisky is the winner

354 yards passing
53 yards rushing
6 TD's 0 Int's

Barely beating out that suck ass Goff
465 yards passing
Butt only 5 TD's and 0 Int's

Look dude, no one is saying Mahommes isn't other-worldly great. He is.

It's like asking if you prefer chocolate or strawberry ice cream. They're both great, hard to go wrong.

Like I said in my answer, I choose Goff for now but that could easily change if I have a little bigger body of work to go off for PM.

I don't get what you're arguing.

Nether has Cousins

And I'll wager he doesn't beat either performance

Cousins played on TNF willie :think2:

And yes it's a safe bet that Mahommes doesn't match Goff's 5tds tonight. But regardless he will have more tds on the season unless he throws negative touchdowns on MNF

I'm still confused on what the argument is. I don't think anyone is saying Goff is trash or Mahommes is trash. Just some believe one is better than the other

Neither has "Keenum", I'm sorry, my point being two QB's haven't played yet and given how this season has been going, either one can put up a monster game

And since you injected that the only kid you think can be called the best young QB in the league hasn't played yet, I'm willing to wager he won't exceed Trubisky's or Goff's numbers

I think everyone else has been more open minded about the discussion, with the consensus being we need more time and a longer history to make a more informed decision. You spoke disparagingly about anyone who dare not choose Mahomes, "it's not even close" in your opinion

of course I would wager the same. Would have to be nuts to assume he would throw 5 or 6 tds. But it's one game. His numbers are more impressive than theirs on the season regardless of what happens tonight

Best thing about this thread is that it's safe to say the future of the QB position is bright when we lose Brees, Brady, Rivers, Big ben, etc

plays like Rodgers in an offense that reminds me of RG 3 Redskins. Doesn't run as much. More of a passer. But he plays around with the option. Haven't watched the other KC games. Just curious, does he throw deep often? He didn't in this game. He has lots of speed to throw to

Kid is special. Would have beat brady in foxboro tonight if he didn't have the worse D in the league

Hmmm, interesting take, but there's something inherently wrong with it of course.

You see, if somebody should not lose because they scored 40 points, should the other guy lost after scoring 43 points?

Stated differently, Brady should of won by 4TD's if he had a better D, A?

PS: no guys I'm not being serious, just pointing out a bad argument

So you think the Patriots defense is as bad as the chiefs?

Threw a 75 yard TD and a 67 yard td tonight. Can throw almost 90 yards down the field.

Yes, he throws deep
