I'll add Pervis Ellison (Louisville)...I think a number one pick.

Pervis was the MOP of the 86 tourney as a freshman and #1 overall pick. Hurt his knee his senior year, and never recovered. Surprised he went #1. Hard to call him a complete bust though, because he won comeback player of the year one season. At least he did something.

Larue Martin was the overall number 1 pick by the Portland Trailblazers and was a total joke. Larue Who ! However I always say Larue was the best number 1 pick Portland ever made because the next year the Blazers were still the worst team in the NBA and got Bill Walton and of course went on to win their only NBA Championship. Back in those days there was no lottery.... the worst team simply received the 1 st. pick

Bowie is a great guess.

Plenty of high NBA draft picks are busts but that more explains the incompetence of NBA execs. Shawn Bradley and Michael Olowakandi and a ton of these european kids for example.

My two biggest busts ever would be

Lloyd Daniels--

Felipe Lopez--

I'm not sure how you could possible mention Wicks as He was NBA Rookie of the year, Helped Portland win a NBA championship and played for 10 years with a 16.8 average ! Pretty decent IMHO

Greg Kelser, Shawn Respert and Mateen Cleeves all Michigan State floppers.

Kelser was sensational in college, drafted #4 , played just a few years and faded fast.

Cleeves #14 pick.

Respert #8 pick , he was a scoring machine in college, only played 4-5 years in the NBA, later admitted to battling stomach cancer during his career.
