Charlie is outdriving the old man at 14 yrs old? huh?

The 15-time major winner’s answer was quite shocking! Instantly, and dejectedly he stated, “I hate to say it, but I’ve got to admit it: he finally did it.” However, the saving grace was that it was a one-time thing for now! Woods explained that he had “spun one” while his son had “tomahawked” it and beat the golf legend on that drive

that Europe lineup is semi-conservative, assuming Donald goes that route. But given its the1st day and fourballs, these two changes i'm, very cool with:

Fitzpatrick/Hatton

Rahm/Hojgaard.

playing both Hojgaard and Aberg on the opening session maybe too ballsy for Donald , but it does make sense in that Hojgaard and Adberg r birdie machines , and safer to play in fourballs then foursomes. They click early would mean real danger looms for USA

Tiger Woods Caddies for Son Charlie, 14, as He Earns Spot in Golf Championship: 'He Puts Me in My Place'

On Sunday, Tiger's 14-year-old son advanced to the Notah Begay III National Championship after winning in the second round of the 14-15 age division in the Last Chance Regional, with a little help from the golf great.

Tiger, 47, caddied for his son in the second round in a special moment for the father and son.

After the victory, Charlie said it was "great" to have his father supporting him on the golf course. “We just stay in our own little world,” Charlie, 14, said about his dad caddying for him.

“We take it one shot at a time," Charlie continued, adding that his dad "puts me in my place" from time to time. "I’ll talk about the next tee shot and he’s like, ‘No. This is the shot we’re going to focus on. Focus up. This is what we’re gonna do.’

...........

not a bad guy to have as your caddie, eh?

cant teach drive or talent :)

this was an elite field. Hovland blew away the field--the guy in 3rd was 11 shots off. Fresh out of a college it was the short game ,specifically, around the greens needed bigtime work--gee, look at him now.

The ball striking ? lol

listen to the sound:

USA Ryder Cup hopes to win on foreign soil r goin' to need a reliable Scottie. The putter has vanished much of 2023. World # 1 went back the Scotty Cameron blade putter; had FIVE 3-putts and 1 four putt this week...wow

13 most fun golf courses in the US. Anyone played any of these courses? I’ve played the Brickyard(#3) in Indianapolis a few times.

$200 to play the Brickyard now. Last time I played it about 7 years ago it was $80. Inflation hit everything.

good read!!

checked out a vid of Brickyard, cool idea , got holes inside the track! Pete Dye design course too.

Will FINALLY have a lot more time on my hands in 2024 , this means- golf trip bonanzas!!

played Cabot Links in June. Bucket list type shit......spectacular course. No carts allowed , was surprised how rugged the terrain was..not an easy walk . 16th is the signature hole, postal-card type shit. It wasnt may fav hole tho, #2 was.

pictures of the 16th dont do it justice. That is a demanding par 3 if the pin is tucked right, lol. the green slopes to the ocean and has a drop (see the vid). i aimed left, wanted no part of danger --unfortunately hit the bank LS of the green-----rolled right off the green !!! into one of the pot bunkers right of the green. brutal break....zero chance of up and down with the lie i had, ha!!

can see part of the 17th on the vid-Kinda of a gimmiky hole, dangerous as its a blind shot and SHORT-- cant see the group ahead. It plays severely downhill if you carry it far enough-- its reachable! .......hit 6iron off the tee, FLUSHED :)...then lob wedge to 8 feet.missed putt!!!!!!!.............bring the 'c' game and its like slaughter of the lambs on this course!

...$200 for Brickyard ? not bad, Cabot is stupidly prices aint not a lot of locals playing that course!! (it's in no man's land at Cape Breton)

Yea, $200 for Brickyard is still a decent price compared to most of the top courses. Always in pristine condition and every lie is a very tight lie. Last time I played there, formula one cars were running on the road course, part of which goes right by the 7th tee. Cool course to play.

not a lot that can go wrong with that swing; stupid simple . Off the tee he's Fred Funk + 50 yds . Of the 4 majors his game is well/best suited for a US Open layout (tight fairways, heavy penal rough)--long and straight off the tee

historically 1st time visitors at Augusta don't do well ; last winner on his first try? 47 yrs ago , Zoeller . Given the changes they've made to the course, winning at Augusta is about the short game, imo. We shall see, and gl with the bet. He is one cool customer, for sure, Sunday showed us that (as did the Ryder Cup) ;-a rookie who had to sit on the 54 hole lead and proceeds to shoot 61? wtf

on the weekend he shot : 61 -61 ....

on another note that policy board has ruined the excitement at Augusta ---specifically @ 13 and 15. Got way too many guys laying up ...dumb moves

I played the plantation course on Maui a couple years back . That’s a pretty course. Don’t remember the cost but not astronomical.
