Thomas is pga tour golden boy. Can’t wait to watch him miss 3 footers. Spieth has been wild with driver all year and like JT can’t hit 3 ft putts.

the standings , supposedly, eliminate a 'good boys network' . its a 2 yr cycle of points , more weighted on the final yr- you earn your selection

with the initial settings, that is 10 make it-- C Young is in ( as is brooks, morikawa, spieth). hence my statement Young has a reason to be upset .

i prefer top 10 make it and only 2 captains picks.

'We obviously knew what he was doing in the college scene. You look at what he did in those four years and the only comparables really were Viktor Hovland and Jon Rahm. He is that good.

I played with him in Detroit and was blown away by his game. He continued to impress and I challenged him to come over to Europe and play a couple (of events).

He was fifth in the Czech Masters and you know what he did yesterday. It was like a walk in the park for him and for someone that is so inexperienced it was just so, so impressive.'

i remember at Whistling Straights, course set-up was to take advantage of the US length off the tee. After the beatdown it was clear Team Europe had too many relics, need young blood but from where? .....the game has become so global , studs are coming from Scandinavian countries LOL: Hovland, Adberg , the Hojgaard twins (Rasmus makes the next Ryder Cup). USA's length advantage off the tee is kaput .

btw, Adberg, Hoigaard 'strength' is off the tee--Nicolai 2nd in total driving on the Euro Tour. I'd imagine Donald would go with Otaegui if he was so concerned with driving accuracy

for me the question is can they handle the Ryder Cup heat as rookies at such a young age, whole ..i mean WHOLE different animal this event is. Just ask Fitzpatrick : 0-5 record
