I post on a message board full of stiffs and degenerates. Doesn't make me one.

Anyone who played during the roid era has to be suspect to some degree. How could anyone be free from suspicion? A guys body make-up has nothing to do with it. The beefed-up HR hitters were roiding as well as the skinny .205 hitting shortstop. If the competition was taking them, how could a player not roid up? It's too big of an edge and there is too much money at stake.

Actually knowing a bunch of high school kids who were top recruits. It is very rare for top recruits, and high school prospects to juice for the following reasons: They are the best and never have a doubt in their minds, no one has ever competed with them so they don't feel the need to cheat, they are very arrogant and cocky (my best friend being one of them) and think they are gods gift to the world so they don't cheat because they feel like they don't need to.

Top notch prospects still are very high on themselves in high school so odds are they wouldn't cheat because they feel they are too good to cheat.

That will change very soon, as soon as they hit the next level.

The reason they are cocky is that grownups have been kissing their asses since they were barely a teenager because they showed great potential at a sport.

Agree but it is VERY VERY VERY hard to juice in college. Nearly impossible in fact and very expensive. So you would notice a drastic change in them in the pro's I like to believe.

Suzuki is Always the first player that comes to my mind on this topic.

I thought of Larry Bird second for some reason. He just never seemed that cut up. Just a tall strong guy who played great.

How? So the whole era should suffer because of one man. This is like saying you can't rule out the possibility of every middle eastern person being a terrorist.

Thomas spoke out against it several times. What you think he wanted to have testing and what not because he was cheating. How about other players that appeared to do it right way. I will say with 1000000000% certainty that Frank Thomas did not use any performance enhancing drugs.

Really in 1993? They asked for testing because they felt they were up against unfair competition? I'll be waiting for this report.

Or how about when him and Glavine stood up to the players union a couple years ago and said there needed to be testing because ONCE again their numbers were being tainted and they were up against unfair competition.

Thomas wasn't a media darling and he wasn't the face of the game. He wouldn't have said those things to hide his own actions. He said them out of selfishness because he wanted his stats to look better and not be inflated by cheaters.

I'll be waiting for your Thomas proof thank you. Please link me. I'll be waiting because all reports I'm reading on the congressional hearings say the same thing.

McGwire, Baltimore Orioles stars Rafael Palmeiro and Sammy Sosa, and Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling. Schilling and the Chicago White Sox' Frank Thomas, who gave a statement via video conference, were invited because of outspoken views against steroid use.

Outspoken views against steroids. Where does he admit using them?

His conference was on how much he hated them and thought they were bad for the game. Didn't know that meant he admitted to using in college.

Really in 1993?

Don't know the exact year Sosa was chirping against roids, but he did it a lot until a reporter had a clinic lined up with a limo after a game to drive him there. Which he bailed on after saying he was willing to be tested at any time.

Might have happened in '93 but I apologize for not making note of it 14 years ago.

If I find something on it, I'll post it.

It was actually like 5-7 years ago. Which is a huge difference since steroids were already in the for front at the time. So he wasn't saying anything that people didn't already know. He was protecting his ass.

When Thomas said it he was trying to get rid of the bullshit in the game. It was before anyone suspected anything.
