Sure its ok to curse on the golf course, just not repeatedly lke he does on national tv. Golf was great before Tiger and will be long after, so get over yourself that Tiger is the reason golf is great. Alot of people thought that was about jack to when he left the game. Thread might have notbeen started if not for Tiger...whether or not you like him or hate him you will watch to cheer for or against him. Most of us here are adults and know Tiger made us want to go out and compete. Made us want to go out and pump our fists and hit it a mile. I started watching golf because of Tiger. Even Rory and the young guns started competing because of him. For you older gents, if Jack likes him so should you! The reason you see him swear so much is becasue he is always on camera. Look how "childish" Jack acted when he missed a putt or the iron didnt go the right way. I noticed watching the 8 Masters how he acted when he missed a shot, same as Tiger but not shown every single time. My friend caught Phil saying the GD word a couple times as well as some F bombs the last 2 days. Only thing is, he wasnt shown as much as Tiger. You like who you like, everyone is open to whom they like. Another idol of mine is MJ. He did some awful awful things outside of bball as well as babe ruth in bases and Dr J in bball. Arnie himself was never commited to his family as well. Do ask yourself this question.....Why do I watch and or pay golf and why is the ratings so much higher now then 15 years ago at Augusta? Has any other sport come 360 and joined the Olympics such as?????
How many of these guys you mentioned here had their sponsors dump them ? Thats what I thought. To each his own ! Slobber over the guy its your choice. I watched golf long before Tiger came along, so did alot of other people. Do I like watching him play, sure I do, But I don't respect him or root for him
I've been to plenty of golf tournaments and have followed Nicklaus, Mickelson, Couples and most of the greats around all day. I've never once heard Mickelson or the rest of these guys cuss. I'm not saying they haven't let one slip like most of us have. But golf is a gentlemens game. And when these guys are professionals on national television they are on their best behavior, like they should be. It's very obvious that Tiger doesn't care if some kid watching him hears fuck or god dammit after every bad shot. And you guys have to admit that's exactly what he's saying. The networks are now just bleeping him out. He's a guy that's out of control with his behavior both on and off the course. And if he doesn't give a shit, then I don't give a shit about him. It's sounding to me like maybe this is more the younger generation here that is dismissing his antics. Maybe because you've grown ammune to it because there is less censorship and more immoral behavior in general now than there was in my generation. It still doesn't make it right. I know i wouldn't want my 10 year old anywhere outside the ropes around Tiger now. He knows he's messed up, and can never get that old image back again. So he just doesn't care as long as he still has his followers. They can have him.

Got a scoop for all you haters...athletes cheat and it was prevalent during the 60's and 70's but sportswriters didn't report that stuff because they were out with them and everything they did was off the record...
Arnie and Jack and the good old boys bought golf to another level....Tiger just expanded the way golf is thought of and the purses that these guys get...they should be on their knees thanking Tiger for the notoriety on the PGA tour...
And if you think Arnie and Jack didn't cheat, then continue to live in your fantasy world...
