I was rooting against only one golfer Phil Mickelson for reasons that have been posted on several occasions..He finished in a tie for 27th as it stands now shooting a 74 today and finishing way back at 1 under. So I am happy..Sure I will admit it, like many I can't help but root for Tiger but that is not easy since his downfall two years or so ago. He is far from the first or last superstar who let his little head do his thinking for him instead of his big head..To say I was disappointed in his behavior is an understatement, he more or less took the fun out of watching pro golf on TV for me..That being said, life goes on with or without Tiger to root for like in the now gone pre-scandal days.

Looks like Adam Scott is going to go to 12 under and put a strangle hold on the tournament with this gimme he has coming up..

wil..

Wil,

Just curious why you root against Phil?

Good Post Wil ! Phil is my guy too, but had Rory and a few others today. Can't root for Tiger in anyway. Anyone that humiliates and flushes their family down the toilet the way he did his a bad guy IMO. I guess i read your post wrong, we are on the other side of the fence on Phil

I feel the same way about Tiger. I was a big fan of his 10 years ago. But he's a good example of being spoiled by success in every way. Not only by the way he cheated on his wife, but by his general demeanor on the golf course from having to be censored after hitting bad shots, to spitting on greens. A total lack of class. He now wears the black hat in my book. Although I think his game will come back and he'll start winning again, I'll be rooting against him every time he tees it up.

agree, is whole act on the course turned me against him too. He doesn't have the class to have Jack's record

Well, Tiger showed some brilliance, he tried.
He's not the Tiger of '05, but he's better than the Tiger of 4 months ago.

Except for the putting. US open will not be so forgiving with that driver either. Fairways here are alot wider

To those that put down Tiger Woods; He put the game back on fast track; made it a sport that actual thletes would ply..>>

JFK cheated; FDR had a real mistress he lived with; can't believe you guys never heard a man curse on a golf course; Where are you guys coming from..>>talking like old ladies..>
Tiger Woods; The greatest golfer of all time; gave us a super effort today; most of the younger players would not be here if not for Tiger; who personally elevated the skill level in golf the last 10 years..>>

What a bunch of crybabies...
