Kevin Durant injury ruined everything. I think for him to be up there with LeBron historically, he would have had to go to a starving franchise like the New York Knicks and carry them deep into the playoffs/Finals appearance. I think he woulda gone to New York instead of Brooklyn if the injury didnt happen. On another note I think Golden State flips Russell. Looks like it was just an asset-accumulating move. Can't see him being a Warrior long term.

If Kawahi signs anywhere besides the Lakers we might have the most parity in the nba in a long time

This seems like a really big season coming up for Butler and Irving When it comes to their legacies. Both seem to consider themselves superstars while most fans don't. They are both joining teams there were mediocre playoff teams last season, they weren't last place teams. When a middling team like these get a true superstar they will instantly become a championship contender. If either of these players want to be considered a "superstar" they need to do it this year. Otherwise they are just "all star" type players. Two years from now when Durant comes back or Beal joins Butler in Miami will be too late for their superstar legacy. They have to show what they can do on their own.

If he doesn't sign with the Lakers then he definitely fucked them over pretty good by making them wait and end up holding their dicks. Almost all the FA's are off the board and they're gonna have to fill it out with roleplayers now. Marcus Morris (has same agent as Bron, would likely sign if Kawhi doesn't), Danny Green (would likely go back to Tor if Kawhi does), Boogie, Looney, Wes Matthews, Caldwell Pope...Not a lot of guys.

Gun to my head, I think he signs but hopefully he doesn't. That would be stupid and just as lame as Durant on GS. Maybe even lamer.

Just not a ton of guys left......How bout Darren Collison retiring to be a Jehovah witness? C'mon man, they give anyone decent 10m a year now. This isn't the NFL where you pretend you found religion because you don't wanna risk brain damage anymore. Just keep playing.

I'm glad there is parity. But I don't like it seems like there are only a handful of teams that have any shot of winning a title, more so than any other league. Baseball the Twins are great without any big name or free agents. Football even the Browns might be good next year, no one saw the Eagle coming 2 year ago. Hockey I don't follow but seems like a new team wins the cup every year.

NBA a team like Orlando isn't going to be good for a long long time. And there are a lot of Orlando's.

Horford is aging well as far as basketball years. He still looks like a good player. He’s a winner.

He looked good in the C's system, not many NBA teams actually have a "system"

Neither Superstars.

Just Stars

Superstars: LeBron James & Kevin Durant

Borderline In-Betweens: Harden, Curry, maybe Giannis
