Tell me how many people have hit exactly 250 hr in their careers? Lot of similariaties for Ted Simmons. Aquatic pointed out he hit 300 7 times cause one year of 1-3 doesn't count. He played 21 seasons. He had darn near 2500 hits. I just know this...he should be in the HOF with numbers like that as a catcher. Compare to other catchers in the HALL....Fisk, Bench, Carter.

I agree with you 100%, and he was a great clutch hitter to boot, I use to listen to the Cardinals on KMOX everyday, they were my favorite team all my life.

It's for sure Ted Simmons. He hit over.300 7 times. His 8th wouldn't count because it was 1-3 .333 in 1968 his rookie year. He hit 3 post season home runs so that pushes him to 251. He had 2472 hits however and post season hits don't get him to 2500 but did play 21 years. MIlwaukee and St.Louis played a 7 game series in '82.
You're just a PLETHORA of info! Where the hell is Southfield? I bet I could guess!:lolBIG:

Brady Anderson

I'm willing to guess that brady anderson didn't even have 2000 hits or even sniff 21 seasons. Ted Simmons was a switch hitting catcher :103631605 Actually willing to bet this. And I wonder what year HE was on the Juice? 96 maybe??

I seem to recall one Thanksgiving back in say , 1981 when I layed 4 and a hook with the Lions and won a cool four hundred bucks. I was always liked that Eric Hipple Lions' team. Does young Marshal Mathers still reside in 8 mile or has he come to his senses and moved somewhere nice? BTW , JMan , I was gonna guess Frank Robinson but I think the O's beat the Reds in 6 behind the dazzling defense of his brother Brooks!:drink:

Chili Davis was close on many clues but only hit .300 3 times and the Angels and Giants played a 7 game WS but it is Ted Simmons. Eddie Murray exceeds all the stats but didn't play on 2 teams that played a 7 game WS against each other.

Marshall Mathers does have a big house in the suburbs close to the Palace as well as a couple other cities. No more trailer park when you have the high 8 figures. Those Reds/Orioles series were not in the last 25 years and Frank wasn't a switch hitter as the clues at the beginning of the thread state.

Was referring to the many rumors about Brady Anderson's sexuality. On the field, he was only a left-handed batter. I'm sure you are correct about Ted Simmons.

Edub: Ditto for Bench!

:lolBIG: I never heard that about Johnny Bench. He was near the end of his career when I really started getting into baseball, so he wasn't talked about very much. I suppose anything's possible.
