Which is the Better Movie ? an Officer and a Gentleman or Shawshank Redemption ?

Incredible that a great movie like Shawshank has become unwatchable due to overexposure of tv.

Great movie, one of my favorites of all time and few stories like it but it's unwatchable now sadly.


The guy that wrote Shawshank and directed it was also the producer for The Walking Dead but was fired due to his "unrealistic" demands for quality.

I actually have never seen An officer and a gentlemen. I remember that movie was on HBO when i was kid.

Shawshank was awesome!!

Curious to know how the 55 and older crowd are voting on this one?

Still wonder if Shawshank has the edge since the movie is replayed a zillion times on basic cable. I rarely ever see an officer an a gentlemen on there.

Didnt Shawshank BOMB at the movies though?
