Just a thought if you have friends thinking on a trip at the same time.

I dont like the big resort hotels, (except the Atlantis Im hitting in 2 weeks thx to skybook:103631605 ) so depending on the buget, we rented a house on the beach for 450 a night. Thats splitt between 2 couples, about the same thing you'll be paying at a nice resort. Best thing I've done on Vacation.

Aloha
Have fun

Ordinarily, that could work for us. But I think in this case the resort would be a better fit. Going to need room service, pool and bar service.

I'm not going to want to do anything but order drinks.

Thanks for the idea though!

Why not do something different...........

Everybody and their pet gerbils go to places like ARUBA, Costa Rica, Florida, New York City, Hawaii, Jamaica, Cancun, etc., etc.

Go visit the upper MIDWEST in summer........Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan.

You will not be arriving home hashing the same boring stories with your neighbors who did the samething in years past.

The MIDWEST is an uncharted treasure to most westerners and southerners of the United States...............and it is a shame.

Minnesota has over 13,000 lakes, quite a few of them with nice beaches. Lots of tall blonde Scandinavian women running around in bikinis. Lots of fishing for northern pike and walleye. Water skiing.

Mackinaw Island ..

Upper Penisula of Michigan .

Could that the be the land of Mackinaw peaches of Seinfeld fame? Come to think of it, it is probably too cold of a winter up there for a peach season but....

Staying wherever for one week get a timeshare on ebay. My Mom got great deal in Daytona from timeshareby owner.com or something. Save bukcs by eating in.

Live right on Clearwater Beach.....find it pretty boring.

Care to swap for two rainy months in the Pacific NorthWest in winter?

BTW I'm in Palm Springs area now for two months, its over 80, low humidity, the local poker room is a 20 minute drive and I'm loving it!

Didn't think of that. Never been on a cruise before. I'll have to check it out. That sounds like a good idea.

Don't most lines have tables that you can play on once you get in international waters?

We love cruising. Carnival cruises out of Long Beach to Mexico in June and you can find good rates on the net. Carnival is good for young folks who like plenty of night life.

Maui was our best vacation ever, especially during whale watching season. Road to Hana was fantastic ,as well as seeing the sunrise on Mt Haleakala. Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island was real nice too.
Make sure you have a chocolate souffle from Roy's !

Have fun

I'm a big fan of Cancun\Cozumel\Playa. If Cancun is too touristy for you, just go to Playa. I do a week down there at least every other year-LOVE it!!
