Pujols is by far a better player than Musial by the numbers and it isn't even remotely close. Literally the only category Musial beats Pujols in is BA by .331 to .328. That said, Musial has more value in terms of the lore of baseball and cardinals history, so I can see where he gets the majority of the vote.

If Pujols does resign a longterm contract with the Cardinals, I'd be stunned if he does not become the face of the franchise when all is said and done, as he's by far the best player this franchise has ever had.

(Look at 162 game average when analyzing who is the better baseball player)

Almost every star player playing in the last 15 has power stats which dwarf the power stats of players who played before 1990. Before 1990 in 70 years of the live ball era only 8 players hit over 50 HR's. In the last 20 years 12 players have including the immortals Greg Vaughn & Brady Anderson. Sammy Sosa hit over 60 HR's 3 times in recent times and amazingly didn't lead the leagues in Homers during those seasons. So don't bottle those notions they won't sell.
