Got to show The SheBar that photo before she crashed and she was down. Wanted to know "when I was going to buy it for her".

Her Camry has about 65K. She's only put 24K on it in just over three years. We live a pretty tight life here and don't find the need to go out of Pinellas County more than once a month or so and even then it's not far.

As for the color, most days I toggle between 7 to 17% gay, so it's not a threat to my Esteemed Manhood.

Yhea, Tapster my GF is the one who picked it out to be honest, so your lady friend might enjoy it. We live together and she diggs it. How many miles have you have on your '03? My sister has a Corolla, i think its a 1991 with like 290,000 miles on it and all she does is buy brake pads. I never owned a toyota. I must admit, its not a typical "manly" color, but i could give a shit (as im sure you are the same) about some preconceived personality trait that i dont have. Clean color IMO. I just no im going to catch hell from a few of my neocon mates when i pull up to the local pub. The type of guys who buy only American cars/trucks even if they are inferior. With my ravid support of one DR and a green fucking hybrid, i might as well break out a hurga and buy some 130$ Birkenstocks. I have all the other "fields" covered.

:lolBIG: you can point out to your neocon buds that Camry's are made by toothless hillbillies in Kentucky.

It's American made...and has been for a very long time. :103631605

Fitzmall.com is far and away the best place to buy a car. The price you see is the price, no negotiation, its low for a reason - to sell. They not only give you the MSRP but they also give you the invoice price, when i showed this to my dealer here, they were scrambling o make excuses why they were charging almost 3k more then these guys. I have talked to this dealer for many months and all i can tell you is that when you go through a normal dealership, your going to get beat over the head. This place doesnt even charge you freight, like other places do. This one here is a standard TCH. There is no moon roof and JBL but if you look at what it comes standard, you would be quite happy.

As you can see by the invoice, they are going to make about 700 off this sale. That seems to be standard, between 500-7000 profit. Their profit margins are lower because each dealership sells about 280 cars a month and there is over 10 of these in the chain, compared to a normal dealership that might sell 50 cars a month and whack the consumer for 2-4 K each sale. .

Way better Car than an American Ford Mustang?... Thanks for another good laugh. http://gasbuddy.com

Dude your so off base, i cant even know where to begin. Try reselling that Mustang in 5 years, you wont be able to get nowhere near the resale value as a Camry. Not to mention, if you buying a hulked up v6 or v8 with the price of gas your an idiot. Does the Mustang get 35-40 miles per gallon in the city? LOL. When American carmakers stop putting out shit, ill consider buying again, but if i have to be in debt to get one, im going to get one that doesnt need to be repaired constantly. Toyotas are built to last, ford cant even come close. Stop watching the ford commercials, its just propaganda.

Tizdoom, buying a new vehicle isn't a "financial" decision. It's a personal preference, a choice. If everything was a "financial" decision, we wouldn't have restaurants and we wouldn't take vacations and our economy would fucking suck. Shit, we might not even have kids, that doesn't make financial sense at all.

Willie makes a good point. And Tiz, i agree its not a really great purchase from a financial standpoint but i want a new car, Willie is dead on the money with his comparisons to Restaurants and the like. Not to mention the Hybrid gets you almost 40 miles to the gallon in the city and toyotas resale value is outstanding, so in alot of ways its a sound financial decision as well considering you do lose 205 when you drive it off the lot ...

So why pay 30,000 for a new Camry?..... Why noy buy a good used one for thousands less & maybe youll have some money left for Insurance & gas?... They say the shit is built here right?... Right assembled here but most of the parts come from & the profits go back to the same cocksuckers that bombed pearl harbor... Now who's got the brain?

Much more patriotic to buy cars made by American-based companies but manufactured in Mexico.

No wait! Those are the same cocksuckers who bombed The Alamo!

Sharp post. Tiz is a smart guy and I'm sure he will realize the above in time. For now his computer is his playstation 3 for grown-ups, but when fillings start falling out and other little things remind him he's mortal, he'll figure it out.

Yes it does. If everything was a financial decision, people would be frugal and only spend money if they really needed something, or if it provided a good ROI, kind of like how Tiz does it. That would mean a hell of a lot less total spending, which would mean a crappy economy.

my grandpa's generation that came outta the rubble of the great depression saved hard, didn't live an extravagant lifestyle, and pinched pennies

that economy was just fine and laid the foundation for the baby boomers to go an fuck it all up by running around and spending way beyond their means not only themselves but government etc....

we living on borrowed time right now....

with overcapacity in the restaurant, vacation, extravagent lifestyle category....as many people for too long were living beyond their incomes via bad debt like tapping homes as ATMs, CC debt, etc, etc.....plus toss in our national debt that is now 9 trillion....

doing whatever the fuck you want with your money is just fine as long as you are doing so on your income and also saving/investing some of your money for a later day.....not turning 50 in debt and have no retirement savings other than social security medicare like many americans

national gas 3.692 average now up like 8 cents in 3 days.....thanks FED....at least those equity prices are staying flat....for now:nopityA:
