Ravens vs. Titans Wildcard in January 2004.

I was on the run of a lifetime in the NFL, hitting 60 percent and just crushing it. (I fell back down to earth this year by having a disastrous first half of the season but managed to grind back to break even).

This game opened at Ravens -1.5 at CRIS and I hit the Ravens. Line kept moving all week and I kept hitting the Ravens as it got better and better. Probably bet about 10 percent of my bankroll on that game. You know the result. I managed to have to have a good run rest of playoffs and made the money back in the Super Bowl because of a midseason futures play on NE and Carolina +7.5, but if I didn't have that it would have been a disaster.

Second worse that I can remember is a meaningless December NBA game one or two years ago between Philly and the Knicks. I happened to be watching the pre-game and Allan Houston was a late scratch that hadn't been reported yet. Turned to my computer and put a big bet for me in the NBA down on Philly. Knicks shot lights out and won the game.

Lesson learned and haven't done either since.

Mostly just taking shots with a much bigger wager than I would normally make. A wager that may be 30x's my average wager. I am a gambler. I take shots.

Was the year Pack met Denver for the Super Bowl. Had a very nice year, up about 50K. Had some real bad beats early in the playoffs. Giants Fassel meltdown vs. Cunningham and Vikes really rattled me. So I lost 10K back in playoffs before Super Bowl. I figured Denver would get crushed by World Champ pack, AFC just got killed every year. I looked at the -7 1/2 and said, what a value, -3.00 money line. I bet 30K to get my 10K back. I had my two kids with me, maybe 4 and 5. We hungout in the arcade. During the game it had ups and downs, but could not hedge at the half. All of my best disciplines just went South. I bought a huge position with no way out. Gameover, kids ask if we have more quarters for the games. Sorry kids, Dad is tapped, for some time. Only silver lining on this blackest of black clouds, I learned from it. I made several mistakes, and paid dearly for it. Couple years later got it all back with a 50-1 on the Rams, and to this day, I am very hesitant to lay odds on a money line. A triple helping of humble pie.

On tilt last year I put roughly 1500 on a foot game I didn't even like that much. At the time it was about 10 times my average play. Now its about 5 times my average.

Lowest point in my career, kids asking for 25 cents to play video game, I can't give it because I just lost 30 dimes. Did a lot of soul searching after that one.

It's both I do not believe and do not care. Your alledged success is about as irrelevent to me as your inability to substantiant any claim you make. I get nothing from making more or less than you. I do the best I can and do not worry about what others are doing. That is something I have never done. As far as posted plays from you, I have seen one, a Green Bay teaser. They lost badly outright. With those kind of stiff plays excuse me for being cynical. Great job anyway. When I grow up I want to be just like you.

Whatever froggy, at least I know what your definition of a good year is and I've cleaned your clock in that regard.:dancefool

As far as posting plays, I post hoops plays every night over at peeps.

Go compile the record for yourself.:howdy:

My most undisciplined wager came in 1997 with ESB of all places on a phone bet. I lost about 3 dimes on the Sunday Night NFL game, I had the under and with like 3 seconds left instead of taking a knee the idiots kicked a meaningless field goal. I was PISSED OFF and DRUNK so I immediately called ESB and bet the balance on a Monday night side/total parlay. Bye Bye Money....I will never forget that feeling. You all know it.

A toast to better days, G

Pancho, Please feel free to post your hoop plays in the Tracking Room at any time...I'm sure we all would be interested to follow your record.

The thread is most undiscliplined stunt, not how do you compare to FROG. I always find it curious how concerned you are with me and what I do, and conversely I could not give a rat's ass about you. I am not going to Peep's. I really just do not care about you, or what you do. Why should I?

Yeah frog, I want to know how I do in comparison to others. How else would I measure myself? Fact is, I know now how I do compared to the all mighty frogman.:103631605

You don't care about the NCAA picks over at peeps, probably over 300 plays, but you care about 1 teaser that I played and lost? :icon_conf

Mine was this summer, having a boring afternoon and deciding to play the freaking dream team against Italy in that prep tourney on the money line. 2000 to get 100. What a freaking dumb ass. Never again.
