Division winner gets automatic 2nd seed. But once that is done, homefield based on regular season record. Spurs one game better there. Was the game that ended Lakers 11 game winning streak, in LA. Very costly loss for LA. That already had tiebreaker, record vs. Spurs was 3-0. Oops, again, the line is tentative right now, Lakers slight faves, -.20, if that. And that is based on Lakers presumably winning game #5. Without any injuries, or another OT game. IMO, line can only go lower on Lakers, Spurs are safe at home. Line would plummet if lakers lost Wed. You are forgetting a very important point. Lakers is the most overrated team in the NBA. I agree SA could easily win the series, but lines are set for the public to bet them. Every single square has bet LA to win the tittle all season long, they were most of the time favorites to... why? cause people love those wimps.... No way the line would make SA favorite, although that line will move a lot after the sharp guys bet it.

Sure enough, Olympic opens SA -3.5 for Game 1. This indicates a similar home Lakers line of around -3.5 to -4.5. Given that SA has 4/7 homecourt it's clear that SA should be the slight fav for the series -- maybe -120/+100 style. That said, it wouldn't surprise me if LA opened a slight fav, but SA at any kind of + is a very very nice overlay. I will bet SA big for any + money for the series.
