It would be a "bad line" IMO, but the Lakers may in fact be made slgitht favs, but nowhere near -200. You won't see Spurs more than +110 anywhere anytime. No chance.

spurs have HC - but lakers WILL be favored. they are the #1 choice to win it all - odds wise - so they MUST come the fave in this series.

i'd say they come about -150ish - or as high as -165/-170.

this will be a classic "confrontation" between the sharps and the squares - with the sharps on the spurs and the squares on the lakers.

Right, but home court goes to the team with the better record (Spurs). Division winners are guaranteed the 1/2 seeds but nothing else.

If the Lakers win on Wednesday I am guessing LA -150, if it takes longer or someone gets hurt then LA -135. The number will be nothing like a realistic line, it will be a public number since just like last year will be the series everyone wants to watch and quite possibly again the true NBA Finals.

As much as I am a Laker fan how can they be favorite when San Antonio has home court advantage plus they have won 15 straight games and are the defending champions.San antonio team plays much better defense, also Don't forget Shaq can't hit free throws worth $hit, And kobe has other things on his mind besides basketball. Kobe has sure stunk it up the last couple of games. Bruce Bowen defends Kobe really well and his defense gives him alot of trouble.Lakers have no answer on guarding tim duncan, Malone is old and past his prime at age 40, Duncan is a young guy and will do very well in the last quarter against the much older tired Lakers.

SA should be -200 but will open +105 and will be bet to -113. SA in 5, if Malones elbows are allowed SA in 6.

IMO, the Defending Champ Spurs are the best all around NBA team. They faced no game seven last season, beating each of four opponents 4-2. If Lakers get by the Spurs their stock will rise sharply.

(I'll be playing S.A. at + 130)

The Lakers are OLD! Spurs are resting! Lakers better hope to win it tomorrow or they are in trouble with a 7 game series with the Spurs having home court advantage! It might be early but their championship hopes are somewhat relying on this next game! OLD TIMERS,lol!

How can the Lakers be a big favorite when they will be dogs in 4 of 7 games? What do you guys suppose the line will be for Game 1 in SA? I'm thinking somewhere between SA -3.5 to -4.5 depending on how LA looks the rest of this series, health, etc. And when LA hits home, depending on how it's going, LA probably also be in the -3.5 to -4.5 range. If you agree with that, it's clear that SA should be favored to win. If SA is any kind of + money for the series you probably have a pretty decent arbitrage/hedging situation.

Maybe I should be quiet for now.
