My brothers were at that game, one went to ASU and the other to USC. They both had $$ on their respective squads and they still talk about it to this day, f'n crazy.

Wonder why I don't remember that. Maybe it was a late game and I didn't have anything on it.

But that is just sick, the guy didn't just jump on it for the win? I want to see Youtube of this....Sounds like a nuts finish in regulation, too...

That game is the reason why unless I am getting 15 points, I never think a game is over in OT.

I remember wasn't the SC qb Brad Otton, Can't remember for sure.

Yes, it was Otton. He was so down too, both knees, guy draped on him. The ball went forward too so at the worst it should have been an incomplete pass. I think they may have changed the rule so this can't happen again. Which is stupid since the guy could have fumbled giving SC the ball back. Not sure though. The guys I was with in Vegas were SC guys and most of them had SC that day. So, so pissed. Guy near us had ASU and ripped up his ticket when it went to OT.

One of the two worst losses I have ever seen, the other being Ventura's Grand Slam "single"

When a game goes 2-2 into the 15th inning and you have the over (7-1/2), you have to get lucky to win. If you had the under, a grand slam in that situation is a terrible beat. I'd categorize that one as a bad loss with an asterisk (over bettors never deserved to win that game).

That is certainly true, but when the guy DOES hit the jack and never gets to cross home, that is what makes it so, so bad. It's like laying 6.5 in a tie game having your team score on a hail mary to end the game and then never kicking the XP.

BTW, here is the write up on the ASU game, all I could find. Nothing on youtube

The ASU defense had to keep the Trojans out of the end zone to seal the win. Otton completed his first two passes, but cornerback Jason Simmons and Scott Von der Ahe each made key tackles, ensuring the receivers would not stray far. Otton faced a third and seven from the ASU 22.

Defensive end Albrey Battle beat his man and got his hands around the USC quarterback, who promptly underhanded the ball to avoid a sack. The ball fell at Courtney Jackson's feet. What next? Nobody in the stadium was quite sure.

So Jackson started running.

"When Courtney picked the ball up, I looked directly at the referee," Snyder said. "He let him run so I said 'Go, Courtney, go!'"

Courtney went 85 yards to be exact, putting a most-bizarre finishing touch on a most bizarre college football game.

So Battle, Bush, Poole, Burnstein, Pat Tillman (who intercepted Otton in the second quarter) and the rest of the Sun Devil players and coaches all put a heroic effort into a hard day's work. But Plummer, whether it was running for his life, hitting the open man or charging his unit up in the huddle, was the undisputed catalyst.

"Plummer is the heart and soul of their team," USC defensive lineman Darrell Russell said. "They would not function without him.

"He makes them believe."

Game Notes

* ASU moved to 7-0 for the first time since 1982.
* Terry Battle rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time in his career.
* Jake Plummer set career highs for completions (26) and attempts (44).
* The Sun Devils were 3 for 3 in the red zone, moving their season total to 24 for 24.
* ASU remained fourth in the AP Poll and moved up to fourth in the USA Today/CNN Coaches' Poll.

a horrible loss that comes to mind, 2 seasons ago, a MNF game. after a rough weekend, chased with a monster 2team teaser, on the side/total. it was GB@PHI. GB +/over.

For the game, GB was something like +11.5, so i made them +17.5 and over the total, which escapes me at the moment.

GB was Leading 9-7 at halftime and everything was fine. Eagles come out of HT like barnstormers, scoring 24 straight points and all of a sudden lead 31-9. GB doesn't score at all in the 2nd half.

With 3minutes left, i need GB to score a TD to cover the side, Rogers enters the game, and what looks like a real blessing occurs. a deep pass resulting in pass interference, and GB has 1st and goal from the 2. I just need them to punch it in one of the four tries for the big win. instead what followed gave me a sick stomach.

1-2-PHI 2 (1:55) V.Morency left tackle to PHI 1 for 1 yard (O.Gaither).
2-1-PHI 1 (1:38) V.Morency left guard to PHI 1 for no gain (M.McCoy).
3-1-PHI 1 (1:03) V.Morency left guard to PHI 1 for no gain (O.Gaither).
4-1-PHI 1 :)20) V.Morency left guard to PHI 1 for no gain (O.Gaither).

Kansas completely not showing up in their Bowl Game. I had them in the last game of a 13 team parlay that would have won me a ton of cash. Possibly doubled my 8-5 salary. Hedge a little but not nearly enough to balance it out. The worst thing is; is it was a later bowl game, so I had about three days to count my winning thinking it was a sure thing.
