I don't agree. Shooting is different. If you are a shooter, you don't lose that. If the man says he hits 95 out of 100, I wouldn't bet against him. I've never understood how anyone hits above 90%, but some people do.

I still shoot for 3 or 4 hours per week, just for wagers like this. I have been robbing people since I was in college.The free throw record is 2740 in a row. That should give everyone a hint.

Well, if I make a trip, it would have to be for a minimum 1,000 shots. Anyone can hit 70 out of 100 and that doesn't solve anything. This could be fun.

Actually the record isn't 2740, it's 5,221 by a family friend of ours, Ted St. Martin. Good guy, he works with my father and is the nicest man you will ever meet. He once offered to teach Shaq how to shoot free throws and Shaq refused.

Saw Rick Mount drain 104 out of 106 while giving a speech at U of Iowa during a basketball camp one summer

also...

I played with the D3 all time leader...(imagine he still is)...who sank 70 in a row during the season. That same season he set the all time ft mark in d3 of 157 out of 163 for a .963 percentage. For his career he sank 449 of 492 for a .913 percentage (best pure shooter i ever played with/or against)
