What popular band do you find overrated?

One thing I have noticed from people that didn't like a Nirvana or think that they were overrated is that they usually are from back east...Not sure why that is...

there are a handful of hard rock or metal bands that were great and some are still around. melodic metal with harmonies and opera trained singers make great music from some bands. no shit, a UCLA study found that fans of hard rock are the most loyal fans, which means buying their music and going to concerts and not hopping on the next trend. it is far more complicated than rap, pop, grunge, alternative, punk or country. most of that crap isn't music, except punkers Bad Religion.
