Nirvana is the top of the list. If that moron hadn't died they would have faded away to never be heard from again....except on "90's retro nights".

Dave Matthews. I don't get it.

Cold Play. See Dave Matthews.

Aerosmith.

Boston and Journey.

I think 10 years ago they were appropriately "rated" (not overrated or underrated). When The Sopranos played Don't Stop Believing at the end of the last episode their popularity blew up! Literally. I've seen 20-somethings who weren't even alive in 1981 when that song came out go ape-shit when the song comes on like it was just released and is at the top of the pop charts. In the late 80's/early 90's you could get beat up if you admitted you listened to Journey! Now it's "cool" to listen to Journey.

I started listening to country music because of Nirvana (and all the bands that wanted to be Nirvana). Those were my college years and "rock" music sucked during most of that stretch (1990-95). A "tragedy"? Yeah, that's what it was...

I used to, but I don't judge anyone's taste is music anymore. What's the point? I watched the Grammy's last week ... and for me, AC/DC were by far the best act the entire evening. I never understood the whole Nirvana cult thing, but they were a good band.

Everyone's different. For me, the Stones are the greatest rock/blues band in history and Mick Jagger is the greatest entertainer ever. I have seem them play 17 times and its was awesome every time.

So enjoy what makes you get up and dance.

I don't get it. I wouldn't even put the Stones in the top 10.

+1 Loved the ACDC Highway to Hell at the Grammy's ! My wife and I sat down and had a beer with the entire band many years ago when my Daughter was dating one of the band guys. It was actually the guy who just recently replaced Malcolm Young for the second time. A fun evening and they're all very nice. Of course Angus is a little differnt on and off the stage. It just didn't seem like ACDC without Angus Mooning the crowd ! LOL

ACDC annoys the shit out of me.

Dave Matthews is another one. I don't hate Dave. He has a couple good songs I enjoy. Just kinda meh overall in the grand scheme of music IMO but some worship him.

I like that song "get what you need". I think that's one of their better ones.
