I think it's really good that Blue and his Wife communicate and understand one another that well.

Communication is the key to lasting relationships. Nobody ever got a divorce becuase someone "listens too much"

the timing of this thread is perfect. my wife just laid into me yesterday. tears, sobbing, guilt trip...the whole 9 yards. i dont disagree with much of what she said either.

what made it worse was that i got killed yesterday and today is starting out poorly.

man, that makes for a bad weekend. i might have to go cold turkey for a while. i was up pretty big this year (for me) but, i gave about $1,500 back yesterday and about $800 so far today. to avoid further losses and more tears...may have to take a break.

If you have wireless internet, pretend you got to take a shit alot, take a laptop in with you, what can she say, tell her if she doesn't want you on the can so much, cook better.
I get my best thinking done on the can anyway.

I am blessed with a very understanding girlfriend. She knows what I do. She does have a few peves though. If I lie to her about how much I wager, she gets mad. Or if I say I'm not going to bet on something and I end up doing it she gets upset too. She's upset with me right now because I told her I wasn't going to bet NCAA football this weekend but I ended up making 4 small bets on it.

I'm lucky. My wife is a nurse and works 12 hour shifts evey weekend. If it weren't for her schedule I would not spend nearly as much time as I do on gambling. A few months ago we finished our basement. It is a palce down there. I have my computer and my 56" HD TV set up down there. I usually hide out down there every night while she and the kids are upstairs. As long as I pop my head in evey once in a while she is ok with me.

I get a few days warning about Sunday, "I do nothing EXCEPT watch football" day, but really, saturday is also like that too. Luckily (for Coop) I spend most of Sunday watching pre-game shows with him and end up yelling at the TV more than he does. Time is definetly occupied by him searching for info and betting EVERYDAY, but like I said, LUCKILY :lolBIG: , it's ALL GOOD with me! :suomi: :suomi:
WOW Thumper where were you many many years ago...a women that LOVES football..

I always hear, how much longer Jason....my response is always "Ill be off in just a minute babe"

then 2 hours later...same question....

not married, g/f (probably soon to be ex) lives 45 mins away. she knows i make my money from this so its never really an issue since i specifically set aside time for her every week..(we actually sat down and discussed it, she works Sat and Sun so its all gravy for me.):drink: :drink: :drink:

I do have a friend who is a girl (ie...she wont give it up) and she hates football to death...Doesnt even wanna watch a minute of it and makes life hell for anyone who watches it or trys to in her presence!! (Of course as soon as you say you have tickets to the game, guess who wants to go?)
