You just started reading the bible like 9 months ago and now you're preaching to a bunch of guys on a gambling forum haha?

Lol. Some of the greatest Bible Scholars still disagree on Johns writings in Revelations

He needs to stop watching Hal Lyndsey and Jack Van Impe

Yeah, he's (Illini) taking a premillennial dispensationalist position, which is fine - but it's one of many eschatological positions.

Revelation reads like a horoscope .
Its so vague and open ended that 10 smart people can read it and get 10 different interpretations

If there is anyone out that that thinks they understand 100% without question they are simply full of shit

Just like the title of this thread......the Lord has given you clues. How absurd is 20 tril of debt? It's beyond absurd and it will never be paid back because it was done on purpose. This means that the USD is guaranteed to fail, and the USA is a farce.

My favorite is a parable. One time I was really struggling with my faith. I was praying and asking for an answer from God. I actually had the Bible in my hand and was asking for confirmation that he (God) exists. I asked him to show me when I opened the Bible randomly to something that would help me with my faith. So what was it when I opened it and read? It was a parable. For those who don’t know, parables are written in red and it’s to show when Jesus is talking. It was The Seed Of The Sower. How crazy is that?? For those who may not know The Seed of The Sower is literally about Faith. I couldn’t have opened it to a more dead on answer. Here it is....

The Parable of the Sower

13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root.7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”
10 The disciples came to him and asked, “Why do you speak to the people in parables?”
11 He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. 12 Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables:
“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

14 In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah:
“‘You will be ever hearing but never understanding;
you will be ever seeing but never perceiving.
15 For this people’s heart has become calloused;
they hardly hear with their ears,
and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes,
hear with their ears,
understand with their hearts
and turn, and I would heal them.’[a]

16 But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.17 For truly I tell you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path.20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown
Someone that gets it.

The Bible can only be understood by the Holy Spirit, like Bourn said. It says right in the text plainly that the Lord has hidden his word from the wise and the intellects, and revealed it to the foolish. God opposes the proud and gives grace to the humble. All anyone has to do to know God is to ask. Nobody has to embark on a PhD education to find the truth. Just pray to the Most High, and God will be pleased to reveal himself to you.

If you're humble and want to know God, you're gonna be fine in the end. If you're proud, destruction is coming for you.

Feel free to move to Canada if you think the U.S. will fail and is a farce. Nobody is stopping you to practice your newfound religion somewhere else.

Newfound religion? Don't most Christians believe in the rapture? One of the main reasons I would never consider being a christian. Can't get behind a religion that at it's core... believes, wants, and longs for the destruction of civilization. Festering Zit's version of christianity does intrigue me though. I do believe in intelligent design.

Those that follow Christ do not long for the destruction of civilization.....it's just that to get to the millennial reign of Christ and then ultimately the kingdom of heaven, sin has to be removed from the world.

The idea of sovereign nations is a lie. All of them are a farce.

I don't know if I'd say most... It was certainly popularized in the 1970's. But the word is never mentioned in the Bible.

Rapture is all over the Bible. All over. The word is not itself mentioned, correct. But it can be inferred with certainty. It won't be unlike Noah's ark......the Lord saves a few from the destruction of the world, only this time it won't be through a flood.

The idea that there is a rapture separate from the 2nd coming is not all over Scripture, it is a doctrine built on 1-2 Scriptures. I don't have a strong view either way, but you should study more to understand the different positions, and their histories in the church. The premillenial dispensationalism that you're touting is a relatively new concept in church history.

I don't think there necessarily has to be a "rapture" separate from Christ's 2nd coming.
