Obviously was a 50/50 game, could've gone either way. Horford banking in a jumper, Wall 3 for the win. Wizards definitely showed some poise down the stretch, faded a few tough calls. But overall, Beal/Wall had monster 2nd halves just for that 3 to go in at the end to win by 1. Celts seem to have more variables working in their favor right now. Going into the series they had the coaching, bench, home crowd and the Wizards had the more talented team. Think Celts are probably not at as big of a deficit talent wise right now as I did before the series though. Horford in particular has really outplayed Gortat, especially in the two man game with IT. Markieff had a nice game tonight but the Wizards bench is still awful, Mahimni can barely move out there.

Was surprised Celts are only -180 in game 7 , I figured it would be closer to -220, -240 after the previous 3 games in Boston and tonight was hardly a convincing win for Wizards. If Celts were -240 then I'd let Wiz bet ride but Celts are undervalued game 7 at home at that price if anything.

Got Wiz for series at +165ish, so probably gonna just hedge for series. Wouldn't shock me if they won but don't really see them as value anymore.

Anything can happen in a Game 7. John Wall has more intensity than anyone in basketball right now.

Celts bread and butter has been better though. The IT/Horford screen roll is getting quality looks better than anything the Wizards are consistently doing.

Yeah, maybe Wall just says "Fuck it, I'm the best player on the court" and takes over, but the Celts have built their own "wall" to the rim pretty well at this point and forced him into some tough shots. His game 5 was atrocious in Boston and even tonight look what he had to do in the 2nd half just to get a 1 point win.

I'm not saying the Wiz are gonna lose but I liked them more at the beginning of the series in terms of just being more talented and having a little too much in the way of mismatches for the Celts, a lot of that has been nullified.

And a lot of their coaching is just not very good to me, they try to post up IT with guys who aren't really adept at doing that. The way to attack him is what the Bulls were doing, just make him a help defender on every play. Involve him in tons of brush screens, pin downs, maybe you make him work hard and it chips away at the other end as well. Bulls didn't have the talent for the strategy to work, but they had the right idea. Wizards are "letting them off the hook" as Denny Green would say. But no one has ever said that Scott Brooks is a mighty tactician.

Although, I think the extra day rest clearly helps the Wizards as they're having to work much harder for their pts in my opinion and they likely need all 5 starters to play big minutes. And A. Bradley probably can't keep this shotmaking up. But the roleplayers could give the Celts a nice boost at home, Stevens knows how to push the buttons.

Don't disagree with anything here. Lots of Wiz offense is dribbling at the top of the key. Need to play like they did to start the series in that first quarter.

Either way, Id rather have John Wall on my team than be facing him

At the end of the day, celtics simply match up a bit better with the wizards. But the sad part about it is the Wizards match up with the cavs better than the celtics do. Celtics will win and cavs will smash the celtics in 5

Wiz gonna take game 7 imo. Think Celtics wanted game 6 badly and may be hard to bounce from that type of finish. I'll be on the points and moneyline. Of course I went to the wrong game in DC, got tickets for Caps-Pens game 7 instead of Wiz-C's game 6.

Like others have said Wiz match-up better with Cavs than Celtics. Should be a good one Monday.

Basically just camedown to the stuff I said.

Bench+coaching+being at home just too much to overcome for the Wiz. Bench outscored 45-5. Just tough when you only got 5 guys and are on the road in a high intensity 48 minute game.

Wizards did a much better job hunting IT on defense tonight with Beal but all that other stuff is a lot to overcome. Wall was terrible, probably a lot of fatigue there. And Celts built that "wall" to the rim and his jumper wasn't there.

Also, IT/Horford screen roll as bread and butter was just replaced by IT/Olynyk but pretty much the same thing. Was the best bread and butter either team had, a lot of game 7's just come down to that.
