BTW, Titan's defense has given up 17 ppg in their last 3 games which is 3 ppg less than the Chargers and Colts. If you don't think the Titan's defense has something to do with winning their last three games, you need to pull your head out of your ass.
Actually there are many that said that Vince young couldnt make it as an NFL qb. Those are the people he is proving wrong. They said he couldnt read coverages, they said he would be able to run like he did in college.
Secondly and most importantly, when Vince young was drafted by the titans, they made it clear what they wanted out of him. If they wanted some pocket passer, trust me, Leinart would be in Tennessee right now, or Jay cutler would be here.
The coaches chose him because he gives them diversity in their offense that they would like to exploit and use to win games be it through the air or the ground.
When he needed to come up big in his passing game, he rose to the challenge against the Giants, scoring 3 tds in 12 mins in the fourth quarter and then leading his team down the field for the winning field goal.
The following week, the stated goal by the team even before kick off was to run the ball. Even dungy said it himself in a review of the game, when the dbs would drop off into their coverages, they left him wide open for the run. He run for a wopping 7 first downs against the colts. And that was the plan for the day because the idea was to keep peyton manning on the bench watching Vince young.
