Curious, did you ever meet Yaz in person? I always admire him as a player even though I disliked the Red Sox, but I did meet him once at the same golf charity event I met Bobby Orr. Yaz was a real asshole that day. Great player but a real jerk in person.

Drew Brees

when all is said and down he is going to own every single major passing record in NFL history .
Every last one .
Everything from yards to TDS to completion percentage .

If its an nfl passing record the name Drew Brees will be listed as #1

Nope never met him... seems like I had heard that he could be a prick in person somewhere else as well...

Veteran posters?

This is very offensive for the newbies here at THERX.

I'm protesting the thread title.

I want the title changed or the thread deleted.

Just joking.

Joe Montana... He is the guy who got me into football and the first Super Bowl I ever went to and watched him drive the field to win it in the end. A true professional at his craft.

Gravy, I heard something on ESPN that I disagreed with the other day so let me get your opinion. The guy on there said Dwyane Wade is the greatest athlete in Miami sports history. I immediately thought to myself, "wait, it's Dan Marino." What is your opinion?

I am a big fan of Marino but he never won a Super Bowl so that is the the reason people might favor Wade over him because he won titles. To me Marino was one of the best wasnt his fault they never had a defense or running game.

Surprised no one said Walter Payton for football. He played hard every down on some very bad Bears teams. One of the biggest tragedies of the super bowl was Chicago winning big and Ditka calls the Fridge's number to score from the one instead of giving it to sweetness.
