The USWNT often plays friendlies in front of 15,000+.

Exactly.

And I do follow it.

Which is why I thought they looked silly.

Greatness is generally found among surgeons, search and rescue pilots and Navy Seals operating undercover in Afghanistan, to name but three.

Congrats to the women. So what they celebrated post-game. Bolt celebrates beating his chest, pointing BEFORE he even crosses the finish line. I've never heard any complaints about him.

That's because he races against legitimate opposition.

Countries that care about soccer - like - really care, have zero interest in womens soccer.

Actually the Jap was a better team.

Carli Lloyd and Hope Solo is the the difference between them.

Congrats to our women.

And hates gonna hate.

LMAO!@!

You're on a message board, differing opinions aren't hate, they're differ....forget it.

Maybe it's because they've won 3 GOLD in a row.

Or maybe Europe and South American where soccer is a religious sport yet they can't produce any decent team that can wipe the floor with the USA team, and our women consistently kick their asses in every major tournament.

They're simply jealous because the USA women soccer team has been such a dominant force in this sport for more than a decade, they're undoubtedly the best team in the world.

BTW, my earlier post wasn't direct at you but those clueless tweeter dudes. They're probably the same whiners who cried about Serena Williams' crip walk dance after she crushed that Russian blonde in gold medal match. I'm never a fan of Mr. Williams but shit man......she just won the GOLD medal for the US, I couldn't care less if she did a Funky Chicken or whatever...

I guess that must be the mission statement for Uconn men's hoops. You can't graduate, you can't dance in march.

you do know the APR has nothing to do with the kids graduating, eh?

it's about kids transferring, and being in good standing when they transfer

Jim Calhoun does an amazing job of preparing kids for life

but when a kid quits because of lack of time, and he stops going to class, nothing the man can do

what's amazing is how no other schools have this problem, maybe being self-reported has something to do with it

So they have been so dominant, just tell me when they last won a world cup? Just a hint: Better go and look back at tournaments in the last century....still they always have fielded strong teams, but it's not like they dominated the competition in any major tournament.
Besides nobody really cares about women's soccer, neither in South America, nor in Europe...unless the world cup is on, news coverage is close to zero and even during the world cup it's barely news-worthy, unless the country hosts the world cup...and maybe it's different for women's soccer, but in men's soccer the Olympics don't even come remotely close to the importance of World Cup, European Cup or Copa America.
Maybe tomorrow's gold medal match is different because of the players on this year's team, but I'd bet that any random world cup qualifying match (and maybe even some of the exhibition matches) between Brazil and Argentina gets far more news coverage and fan/media attention than the gold medal match at the Olympics...let alone any world cup match...

Putting that all aside: Let the girls celebrate, it's just a t-shirt and not even disrespectful one...once again somebody trying to create controversy over nothing...
