He can’t remember anything from 2015, conversations with his wife, or much about Zach Smith, but thank goodness he remembers the playbook from top to bottom on 4[SUP]th[/SUP] and goal!!!

LOL, what a joke this is.

Please keep this in mind. UNC QB Chazz Surratt, who is not a millionaire head coach, received a four game suspension this year for selling his own shoes.
I agree with you, its a fucked up system for sure. Look at Kyler Murray, I understand different sports etc but the guy has 4.5mill sitting in the bank. But college athletes shouldn't make any money, right?

I wish Urban would've pulled an AI...'we talkin' about domestic violence..I'm supposed to be the head coach at Ohio State and we talkin about domestic violence. Not the game..not the game. What are talking about?...domestic violence?'

So correct me if i'm wrong here cause i didn't read the whole thing but according to the university's report, after this story broke Urban asked asked the football ops guy if the media could get access to his university phone and had a discussion with him about how to delete old text. So then when Urban gives his phone to the investigators all of a sudden his old texts have been deleted. hmmm. That isn't suspicious at all huh?

To go along with that he said that his wife never mentioned the fact that her and the victim had exchanged texts about the abuse. GTFO with that shit. Any man that has ever been married knows that is a bald faced lie. There is zero chance if one of my friends wives was texting my wife that her husband was beating her that my wife wouldn't tell me about that. Literally zero chance.

This is basically what I expected would happen the whole time. I meaningless suspension for meaningless games. It does't change my opinion of Meyer in the least. I've always thought he was a piece of shit human. And he's the worst type of piece of shit human, the type that tries to play the super religious good christian card while being a piece of shit.

Yes, when the story on Zach Smith broke, the very first thing Urban thought to do was delete text messages.

Not “This is false and I’m going to come forward and tell the truth” but hide information.

He’s a shady guy, to say the least.

The game is better with Urban in it but if Luke Fickell was the head coach, he'd be fired.

OSU removes Urban.... payout = 38 million vs. paying yearly salary of 7 million, what do we do :think2:

No payout if fired for cause like failing to report domestic abuse allegations to the compliance office. As an Ohio St employee, his wife is guilty too for failing to report the allegations.

The police didn't see any reason for an arrest so is there really a crime? I do not care for Urban but really, what coach doesn't lie to the media.

1) In 2009, Smith was arrested and charged with aggravated battery of a pregnant victim.

2) Between 2012-2018 the cops were called and responded 9 times to the Smith residence.

3) In 2013, Smith was arrested and charged with DUI.

4) The police report in 2015 said there was an arrest of Zach Smith. It was amended three years later and the PD will not answer why.

And through all this bullshit, Urban hired him and then lied about Smith's history.

Copy and paste from a customer of mine, who is a huge OSU fan. For what it is worth

On Thursday, Rex Elliott, who is the attorney of Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith, posted a lengthy message to Facebook that was filled with intrigue.
Elliott later deleted the post, but due to the magic of the internet (read: other people taking screenshots of it and posting it to Twitter), the words are still out there.
In fact, they are right here as well. Here is a full transcript of Elliott’s original post:
“The biggest problem in this OSU matter is the rush to judgment and the erroneous reporting of details by some irresponsible media and the amateur reporting of false information on social media," he wrote. "So, as a lawyer deeply involved in the investigation on behalf of Gene Smith, I am compelled to simply state the facts. The investigation was commenced to determine two issues: Did OSU cover-up domestic violence, and did Urban (Meyer) lie to the media in furtherance of a cover-up.
“After an exhaustive investigation that involved 40 witness interviews and thousands of documents, the investigators who were searching for information to enable them to answer, ‘Yes,’ answered them both ‘NO.’ But to justify a $500K investigation you have to find something. The fact established that Gene Smith learned of the 2015 allegations (regarding Zach Smith) and immediately pulled Urban off the practice field to inform him, and ordered the assistant (Smith) back to Columbus, not to Ohio State, but to go directly to the Powell police to answer their questions. He then discussed the matter with the Title IX Compliance Official and Public Safety Liaison and Human Resources, and he ordered OSU police OSU officials to monitor the Powell investigation. No OSU official can interfere in a criminal investigation or take steps to make it appear they are influencing an investigation. Powell (police) concluded there was no evidence to support the allegations (made by Zach Smith’s ex-wife, Courtney), and we now know this person (Courtney) made false reports on other occasions.
“But the investigation had to find something, so they said Gene and Urban should have reported it to Compliance. Really? Compliance handles NCAA matters, not domestic violence. And try as the might, investigators could not find any evidence that Urban lied to anyone. They concede that Urban was confused by the question he thought he was being asked (at Big Ten media days) and thought he was being asked the same thing as the day before when someone suggested that Zach Smith had been ‘arrested’ for domestic violence, which to this day has never occurred. Despite digging deep, the investigators concluded Urban misspoke and did not lie to anyone.
“So, why the sanction? Well, isn’t it obvious? The country was lathered into a frenzy based on erroneous information and a long delay, and OSU needed to appease the lynch mob that had formed as soon as the unproven allegations were made. As a result, two great men fell on the sword a university they dearly love. And both men faced a room of reporters and admitted they failed in the duties to better manage and react quicker to a troubled employee even though they had no idea about the information that has since come out about some of the things he may have been doing.
“Those are the facts. Two men who don’t deserve the public flogging but who agreed to take one for the team so this great university can move forward with all of its amazing athletic and academic initiatives. Sorry for the length of this and I am not looking for debate. Just wanted to make sure the facts are straight."
In summary (for you “TL/DR” folks), Elliott basically said that Meyer and Smith were used as scapegoats and should not have been suspended. He also made the case that the investigators and OSU president Michael Drake moved the goalposts in the midst of the investigation (my words, not his).
After deleting his eye-opening post, Elliott posted this to his Facebook page:
“For clarification on my post today about the OSU situation,” the post began. “This was my effort and mine alone to clarify some misinformation out there. It was not authorized by Gene Smith or anyone else at Ohio State. I do not want anyone out there thinking my views are the views of anyone at Ohio State or that Gene or anyone else asked or authorized me to post those sentiments.”

Brian McMurphy is a desperate clown who tried to take Urban down, plain and simple. Urban was never going to get fired for this. Ohio State and the players on that team shouldn't have to suffer for the shitty actions of two shitty people, Zach and Courtney Smith.

Legal stuff with "Cause" in contract is a factor and Lawyers would be lining up with a lawsuit! Firing would've cost more than $37 million

Why did Urban hire the guy in 2015 (knowing full well he had already beaten his wife in 2009) then after hearing he was involved in domestic violence again at Ohio State, not fire him until the media found out?

Why did Urban delete text messages on his Ohio State issued phone?

Why did he lie at Big 10 media day about this situation?

Why in the fuck would you call Courtney Smith a shitty person in this situation? You are part of the problem. Why play the wife?

Courtney is a shitty person for lying several times, and she clearly is going after some sort of financial reward.

Urban knew that he beat her in 2009? How do you know that?

How do do you know Urban deleted texts? I hope you realize that deleting texts wouldn’t do ANYTHING.

Urban probably didn’t talk about it at media day because he wasn’t prepared to at all. I also think he knows a lot less than people are accusing him of knowing. People are rushing to conclusions without ample evidence, that’s the bottom line here. Urban seems genuine to me in this case.
