I posted up very little with them on the Ncaa bonus 100% and lost the next day. I got4 phone calls asking me to reup sounds like they were trying to pad the pockets, and last weekend did not work out and THEY BET THE FARM

As you all may remember Royal was dragging their feet on paying me in May of 2004. It took them about 30 days to pay me, but they eventually did. They paid me a over 30k. I have played at Royal since September of 1998. They send me a turkey every year for Christmas and have always paid. I was not happy about waiting a month to get paid last year, but I had the confidence to re-up with them last month for 17k. Royal has had some issues in the past year or so, but have always paid. I would like to see them get back to their top tier level that they once were, but I do see them trying. They have made many changes for the better, lets just hope it continues and the payouts come out like they should.

In my opinion Royal is not going to stiff anyone, but they are and have been a bit slow on payouts. Next request I make for a payout I will post it in a new thread and put them on the clock.

I understand your point Bill, what i mean is, there are no guarantees, i think we all know that.....I just meant personally i dont want to say "bill, send your money to Olympic"....and then what if olympic pulls the unthinkable and closes up ? (no i dont think that would ever happen)....i just would feel responsible....

I simply meant anything can happen, i certainly feel better with posters sending to OUR advertisers, because i have contacts at most of them, and can assist if their is a problem, that is all i meant....Sorry it wasnt clearer....

I dont have access to the "financial records" of these books and stuff, any more than any other person here, i am a moderator, i dont deal in that end of things, therefore i can only speak from my experiences, both personal wagering, and dealing as a moderator......thats all i can do....

I also took part of the march madness promo at Royal and had some success, rolled it over, and requested a payout on march 28. I asked for a bank wire transfer and the rep said they were having problems with that transfer method. He recomended a cashiers check through fed ex so I agreed.

Playing with other books at the site, when ever I've requested a cashier check via fedex they usually came within a couple business days. After 4 days passed, no word from Royal and I called back asking for an update. The rep notified me its Royals policy to call after 7 business days for a tracking number. Thought to myself thats somewhat of a long time, but wasn't mad as maybe that was always their policy

So today is day 7, called to get a tracking number for the check and the rep said that they couldnt send a check and accounting "decided" to send the money via western union. At this point, I just wanted to collect the funds so I was told to call back after 6 and did so. Rep told me accounting was behind due to the ncaa champ game and to call back in another 30 mins. Did that, got the same response. Finally called again for the third time and the rep told me they reached the cutoff time for western union payouts and that I would have to call tommorow morning for the tracking number

just tired of being told one thing and another...hopefully Ill get the money tommorow, but at this point I don't know what to expect.

I really enjoyed Royals betting options and website and their customer service reps are informative and polite, but never expected this for a small, simple withdrawl. I have many friends who have played with them for years and recommend the book at that time, so I wish them the best of luck with their operations and but its definately something that needs improvement

Kudos to the General for getting the info on Royal Sports. What I don't understand is that people are sending them money. It reminds me of horses running back into the burning barn.

thanks for the post OF, but i wasnt really aiming my post at you, but the person who jumped me for not responding while i was at work....Kinda like the Rio thread at 10 pm on Sunday night, if they dont post in 30 minutes, then lets assume they are "dodging" the issue....

Immediately assuming that i wasnt posting because i was in the wrong.....i never post that time of day, i work......

MY experience with royal has been good, they have been tremendous help with contests, very generous, and my players HAVE ALWAYS been paid anything they won in contests.......This news is disturbing, no doubt, and i am certainly hoping it works out for the best.....

However, i dont feel good about taking shots at them, and "ASSUMING" they wont honor commitments, etc. when they have always "honored" them in the past.....

But in answer to your question, based on recent news, i would not advise someone to send money there right now....However if i was asked, "should we make a run on the bank" get everything out, i wouldnt feel that is necessary either........as always, you should never have more anywhere than u can "survive" losing........

There are many books that ad here, or other places, that i wouldnt advise people to send money to either....and it has nothing to do with the fact that i think they wont pay, or anything else, maybe just cuz they are new, etc....but i dont want the responsibility of it....I prefer everyone make their own judgement based on what they hear.........A new poster here today, would not feel safe sending to royal, rio, skybook, bcn, mybookie, or hollywood, according to some of the threads......and there are several books on that list that i trust......dont you?

Atthakar, i emailed Richard about this, and just heard back from him....The only reason you were delayed is because there is a limit they can do in one day at one processor, and as u can imagine, many players are worried, and w/d today, therefore their limit was reached at that processor...He assured me your w/d info will be available by noon est tomorrow......He has never told me wrong before, i doubt he will now....I am sure you will get your info in the morning....If not, please email me, and i will assist....but i frankly dont think it will be necessary....i am sure right now, they are experiencing more w/d than normal......

I'm wasn't really to agitated about this with all thats going on with Royal....we all assume some risk when depositing funds into a book and I can assume they've had a more then usual amount of withdrawl requests as of late

But they have been a pretty good book for some time now and hopefully they can get back to that level, depsite all thats going on. The last thing the industry wants is another book giving their customers problems.

in regards to Royal Sports I was wondering if anyone from the RX could give me an idea of what happened to Canada Mike?
He left Mill a month or so ago and relocated to Royals headquarters, in the last week his direct # has been unanswered (without a v-message) and I have been unable to track him down in the Royal office. They said he was back in Canada for a wake last week, now he is just unable to answer the phone according to them the last few days....any info would be appreciated? thanks

They are certainly answering my emails when i ask something, and have answered any questions i had about players, etc....that is how i got the email about this player's info......

Richard , Tim, and Kevin have always been quick to answer my emails...

I wouldnt expect it to change.....

A customer rep called me mid day notifying me that the money was sent out via western union

glad to see Royal has done the right thing, despite the somewhat long period. bottom line is they do pay

gonna be test the book out and keep my balances there small for now
