I think it is Very True and Very Possible. This Team is Unstoppable !

It's pretty much official; UNC could compete with a few teams in the NBA. With a roster stacked with future NBA players, the Tar Heels are toying with their competition. After dominating Oregon and Notre Dame, UNC absolutely handled the Spartans.
Tyler Hansbrough recorded a double-double with 23 points and 11 rebounds while teammate Ty Lawson almost tallied a triple-double with 17 points, eight assists, and seven steals

no way they go undefeated. they are not strong enough on defense. they will lose against teams that come close to matching them athletically and play defense. I think they lose at Wake, who is extremely talented, and can match them athletically. I can see them slipping up at least 2 or 3 times, and when it comes down to it again in the NCAA tournament. They just give up too much on the defensive end

No, as good as UNC is, they can't compete with any NBA teams.
The talent on the pro level is so much greater, not to mention the pro game is totally different than the college game.

You will never get those words to come out of my mouth, but I can't find anyone ( at this time ) that can beat them.
I tend to agree, however some ACC team will shoot lights out one night and could upset them.

I think they will get better on Defense as time goes on. But at this time, if winning means out-scoring other teams, I think they have the firepower to do just that.

As far as Wake, I guess we will have to wait until Jan.11th. Should be a Great game.

No, they could not compete with an NBA a team.

As bad as some of these NBA teams appear to be, don't forget everyone on the Roster has made it to the NBA. Realistically how many guys on UNC are going into the NBA.

Remember when everyone said that USC (2005) could beat a team like Det this year, people don't realize what talent difference exists between the pros and college.

Also, let UNC knock of UConn, Pitt, and Louisiville. Don't forget, this is the same team that was down 28 to KU in the final Four last season.

UNC is a great team and is going to reach the final four easily, but this team isn't even in the top 5 greatest teams of the past 20 years.

UNLV 1991 (Yes, I know they lost to Duke)
Duke 1992
Michigan 1993 ( Lost to Carolina)
Kentucky 1996 Won title by an Avg. of 26 pts ( I could be wrong on this number)
Duke 1999 ( Lost to UConn)

The best talent and best teams don't always win the title. Last year, I thought Memphis was the best team and they should have won it all, but they didn't.

The NBA comparasion is a JOKE!

they would get smoked by 40 vs the worst in the nba...what would hurt a team like UNC most is the fact they like an uptempo game and against 5 professionals they would get run the fu-k out of the building....the ONLY way they could even try to hang with an NBA team would be to play a princeton style offense and slow it down every possession and thats not UNC basketball....the celtics would beat them by
60+++ with EASE....

these arguements are stupid...no amateur team in hoops and football can play ball with a professional

same with football take OU and line them up against the Lions and it would be a complete mockery OU would be lucky to get a 100 yards total offense....

I'll take UNC +40 vs. Oklahoma City for the max.

Football is very different as the talent is spread much more thin. NC may put a majority of their starting lineup in the NBA. No CFB team puts close to a majority of starters in the NFL.

That said, UNC almost certainly would not win. But I don't think they'd lose by 40 to OKC.
