In six ALCS and six World Series, he recorded an 8-3 record with 90 strikeouts, and an ERA of 2.61 and two shutouts in 17 games. His final major-league victory is worth mentioning:
Pitching in relief for the O's in the third game of the the 1983 World Series against Philadelphia, with each team owning a win, he worked two shutout innings of relief and got the win against the hard hitting Phillies. The great Steve Carlton took the loss. The game was the turning point of the series as the O's went on to win in five.
