I think he only plays like in 1/3 of the pga events every year or something like that.
that's some crazy winning %
this guy is simply the best ever when it comes to golf
I dont know what it is, cant put it in words, but there is something about Tiger in his interviews that just leaves you cold. I dont see much of a sense of humor, or a 'rounded-out' personality. Seems to take himself very seriously, just like his golf game. Maybe that makes you a superior golfer, or maybe he is just a very private person in life, and comes across that way.
Used to discount it to him being young, and shy. Not now.
Somehow, it is very difficult for me to envision Tiger buying a round of drinks for Lee Trevino, Jack Nicklaus, Daly, et al.
I think I am the only guy in the world that is not a fan of tiger woods.
I lived my life idolizing Jack Nickalaus (for some reason I hated Lee Trevino)....and Phil Mickelson is hands down my favorite of this era.
Part of me doesn't want Tiger to break all the records (Jack's 18 majors, Sam's tour victories, etc.) but year after year he proves to me that he really is the best in the game. There isn't much to not like about the guy, he comes off as a little arrogant, but he usually says the right things and makes all the right moves.
as a Tiger hater, i have to say kudos this week.

Tiger lives in a different era than Jack or Arnie or Lee...he showed his humor several years back, telling some risque jokes off the record and of course the media betrayed his confidence and crucified him for it...so he probably won't show his true side in public any time soon.
ps. to shdw01: I understand where you're coming from, although I wouldn't say I hate Tiger, I don't want to see him break my contemporary hero's records either!
I too greatly admire the mans work ethic, and he IS an example of discipline and great skill.
someone mentioned we (jokingly) should get used to a black man....etc..
Tigers dad Earl is 50% African American, 25% Chinese, 25% Native American (Indian)
Kultida, Tigers mom is 50% Thai, 25% Dutch, and 25% Chinese.
This would make Tiger Woods 50% "Asian", 25% African-American. and 25% mixed of Native American, and Dutch, or (white).
To call him a "Black Man" is not accurate. He calls himself a "Portmanteau", to honor his entire heritage.
This may be another reason the man seems distant from media and the circus. Who would want people like Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton riding along on your success? I have to take his own definition, and he does not classify himself as "African American"
