If this anti-gaming bill passes what are your plans? I am trying to ignore the fact, but I have come to the conclusion I need a back up plan, just in case.

I am hoping to get 2 more years out of it. If that's the case, I will be good to go.

Anyone have a plan?

Here's a thought. Why doesn't a trusted RXer go down to Costa Rica or the Carribean and charge like 1-2% to place the wager for a state-side RXer? If you tell someone in another country to place a bet with a sportsbook for you, could you still be in defiance of the law? Just a thought.

Why don't we just create our own language no one on the outside can read?

If someone can make a living betting, why the heck would they want to go back to being an 8-to-5er, working for someone else likely...makes ZERO sense

A LOT more fun doing this all day long (and this is coming from someone WHO DOESNT make a living gambling, but dreams of the day where they can) :103631605

I would stay here, and take my vacation money and plans to countries not America..

Which is kind of what I'm doing already.

Do you just send a moneyorder? How long is the average "mail time" before it gets there?

I've had guaranteed income for the last 3 years. And I don't know anywhere I can go work, for the amount of hours I do for the pay I make. And to top it off, have more fun.

I would probably take up poker and have to move. Vegas is very touristy, and would seem like a cash cow in some of the low limit tourney games. But again, this is just speculation.

Why can't the good ole' gov. let us be, and let us spend out money the way we want. Hell, they are already getting over 30% of my income now:nopityA:

MrJ, do you have a pro gambler tax code in Aus too?

"BIM22017 - Trade: exceptions & alternatives: betting and gambling:
the professional gambler: The fact that a taxpayer has a system by
which they place their bets, or that they are sufficiently successful
to earn a living by gambling does not make their activities a trade."

Why is that funny???

It is my HOME STATE and home to the Hawkeyes..........but just as important is that it has MANY, MANY avenues for the gambler with its many riverboat casinos, indian reservations, and horse tracks.

Also, have hundreds and hundreds of family and friends that live there.
